having his first start for nine months when getting tired late on here over 1m three weeks ago. Should come on for that run and this previous course winner is more than capable off this sort of mark.

Five-time AW winner who has tasted success over this trip. Surprise winner at Yarmouth three starts back and not been as good the last twice. Decent draw but may need to be at her best here.

Has been paying the price for finishing close-up in a Listed race last summer. Mark is slowly dropping and not been with this yard long so a good chance they will get a win out of her soon enough.

Got her head back in front at Leicester earlier in the campaign. That form doesn't look the strongest however and she's been struggling from her revised mark since. Talented riders claim brings her right into the equation from a handicapping view.

Previous C&D winner who has slowly been coming to hand this year. Best effort for a while when a close fourth at Newcastle last time. Dropped another 2lb here and will be a player if able to build on that from a wide draw.

Struggling for form through the summer and is still 1lb above her last winning mark. AW form reads 36212 though so surprising she has not tackled this surface this year. Leading rider booked and no surprise were she to bounce back here.

Went close at Sandown (7f, good) two starts back but not as good at Musselburgh last time. Ran fair races on both previous visits here and capable of being involved if putting her best foot forward.

has a decent strike rate on the AW (2-7) and ran another cracker over this C&D last time and only going down by a neck. Visor now replaces the blinkers and every chance she will go well again off just 1lb higher with Adam Kirby booked.

Won back-to-back races at Wolverhampton and Lingfield on the AW. Struggled off this revised mark back on turf at Newmarket last time but clearly doesn't look as happy on turf. Claims back on the AW if able to bounce back.

Won both starts at the back-end of 2017. Struck into when sent off favourite on handicap debut at Sandown and then blew the start and got going too late here over 1m last time. Clearly has ability to win off this mark but needs to be on the ball.

Had two starts now since a mid-summer break and both have been poor. Shouldn't be lacking in terms of fitness now and good young rider takes off a handy 7lb. Claims if able to bounce back.

Is lurking on a dangerous mark but failed to win the same race for third year running at Nottingham when staying on too late. Has been shaping like a return to this trip will suit and is likely to be a major player here.

Easy winner on debut at York last summer for Saeed Bin Suroor. Form tailed off after that and looked in need of the run on debut for this yard over 1m here three weeks ago. Should come on for that and is on a nice mark.

Still a maiden after seven starts but shaped better than the result suggest over 1m½f at Wolverhampton last time when hitting the front too early. Tongue-tie added and drop in trip looks a good move. Dangerous to dismiss.

Forecasts

Angel Of Darkness (5/1), Treasure Me (6/1), Sayem (13/2), Cavatina (15/2), Augenblick (8/1), Ventura Blues (11/1), Mesquite (12/1), Bint Dandy (12/1), Star Quality (12/1), Natural (14/1), Electric Landlady (20/1), Syrian Pearl (25/1), Club Tropicana (33/1), Finishing Touch (33/1)

Verdict

Mesquite is as reliable as they come and is sure to give her running once more with the visor now tried. Augenblick clearly has the ability to win off this sort of mark but things just haven't gone her way so far. She will be a major player if breaking on terms. ANGEL OF DARKNESS has had a quiet season so far but she is on a nice mark and has a solid record on the AW. She can get back to winning ways with Jason Watson booked.
