Made a decent start to his handicapping career when second of 12 at Redcar latest over 1m. Headed 1f out there so theoretically this drop in trip will be ideal but 2lb rise makes him a little vulnerable.

Promise in first two starts with second at Bath followed by third at Pontefract but disappointing next in warmer York contest beaten 18L. Surely better than that and could easily bounce back now and jockey a positive given he's looked a tricky ride.

Seems to be progressing well and made a pleasing start to his handicapping career when second over this trip at Goodwood on soft ground. 2lb higher now but seems to be going the right way so expecting another bold bid.

Improved effort second time out when third at Haydock albeit beaten over 10L before set a stiff task in a Salisbury conditions race (fourth of five). This more realistic and chance we haven't seen the best of him yet.

Third start when third to high class Sangarius was very positive form but a little disappointing next although filling the same position when beaten 11L but soft ground maybe an excuse. Quicker surface and blinkers make him interesting contender.

Highly experienced two-year-old having run 10 times (won once). Third in last two handicaps off similar marks and particularly close at Nottingham on penultimate. Should again be in the shake-up.

7f Leicester winner in third start was disappointing next under a penalty at Pontefract when possibly not lasting 1m after racing keenly. Steps into handicaps over ideal trip but not convinced Leicester race was very strong.

Laxmi81
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4| J: Harry Bentley| T: B J Meehan| OR:  72

Weakened in third of three novice races, her lone start over 7f but worth another try at the trip based on her pedigree. Seventh over 6f here on handicap debut latest where she never really travelled. Weight looks plenty.

Ran well on debut at Sandown when third but failed to build on that next twice before set very stiff task in a Listed race latest. This more realistic and chance he can improve but needs to do so.

Twice placed maiden was well beaten in his only previous handicap try. Ran well the time after but two more unplaced efforts since continue a theme of inconsistency so he's hard to be confident of.

Handicap debutant stayed on into fifth latest at Kempton on the AW over 6f. May appreciate step up to 7f here but missed the kick in all three starts which is a worry. Hood added perhaps to aid in that regard.

Khibrah23
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-13| J: Jim Crowley| T: R Hannon| OR:  67

Weakened out of the equation in all three starts to date in novice races over both 6f and 7f and on turf and AW surfaces. Not given too much weight for handicap bow but will have to step up on evidence so far.

Placed in first two starts but not gone on since and well beaten in last two starts since switch to handicapping. Mark falling but will need much more than last three starts.

Bring Us Paradise28
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-7| J: F Norton| T: A W Carroll| OR:  61

Little to recommend him in three 6f novice races and didn't last home in first handicap when upped to this trip latest so stamina and ability to prove.

Forecasts

Extreme Force (9/4), Al Fajir Mukbile (5/2), Steeve (10/1), Tru Grit (11/1), Laxmi (12/1), Canal Rocks (16/1), Tribal Commander (16/1), Four Mile Bridge (16/1), Ragstone Cowboy (20/1), Silkstone (25/1), Khibrah (33/1), Beauty Concept (33/1), Bring Us Paradise (66/1), Mersey (66/1)

Verdict

This doesn't look the strongest nursery by HQ standards and it represents a good opportunity for Sir Michael Stoute's progressive EXTREME FORCE who was second on handicap debut. Al Fajir Mukbile achieved a similar level of form when also second latest and he too has claims but is a little more exposed than the selection. Tribal Commander was disappointing latest but perhaps the not inconsiderable aid of Frankie Dettori can help him settle and show his true ability.
