Limitations exposed by now, but back to best when neck second of 15 to Hot Stone over 5f here last time under this 10lb claimer. Vulnerable to improvers, but none of this motley bunch fit that description.
Well beaten in two starts to date, needs this for a handicap mark, and unlikely to be figuring in the finish.
Dandy Man half-brother to six winners including Girl Power, dam of the classy Slade Power. Shaped quite well when 4L seventh of 15 to Hot Stone here on debut, and likely to do much better with benefit of a run.
Improved on debut effort when mid-field at Cork last time, but that's just modest form, and he's another who will do better when allotted a handicap mark after this run.
Some promise on first start at Dundalk in December, but failed to do any better at Listowel after a break last month, and little appeal this side of handicaps.
Best effort when second in a 5f maiden at the Curragh in August, and has run to a similar level in better races on last two starts. Cheekpieces tried now, and been found a suitable race, so must go well.
Soundly beaten on all four starts, and a tongue tie needs to transform his fortunes to have any chance whatsoever.
Left previous efforts behind when 2½L fourth of 15 to Hot Stone over 5f here last time, but never really threatened to win, and surprise if she was good enough now.
Vale of York half-sister to 6f winner Inishmot Duchess. Makes limited appeal on pedigree starting out, although this isn't the stiffest of introductions.
Left Mick Halford having shown ability over 7f on debut, and not disgraced when fourth of 8 to Excelling Spirit in a 6f maiden at Cork last time. Will do better, although handicaps a more appealing option after this.
Unfancied when a respectable fifth of 15 to Hot Stone over 5f here on racecourse bow. Should do better, but others have stronger credentials.
Pick of these based on second over 7f in the Leopardstown mud in April, but she's been expensive to follow, and not quite at that level when fourth of 15 to Shatharaat in maiden at Listowel last time. Visored for that run, and blinkers refitted now.
Fair form at best in similar events, but has regressed, and easy to oppose on recent evidence.
Dam won the Irish Oaks for this owner, but this filly is clearly no star, ansd struggled with drop to 5f when only ninth behind Hot Stone here last time.
Forecasts
Dapper Power (7/4), Shareva (7/2), Al Batal (9/2), Ajmera (13/2), Peshkova (8/1), Kareless (16/1), Suntory Times (20/1), Vintage Teardrop (20/1), Sabrina Fairchild (25/1), Lady Savanah (33/1), Pedro De Styles (66/1), Arcanecho (66/1), Tookiedoo (66/1), Droichead Atha (66/1)
AJMERA makes most appeal on balance, and cheekpieces might enable her to eke out enough to get off the mark in a modest affair. Shareva has the best form, but she's becoming expensive to follow, and may again find one or two too good, with Al Batal fancied to hit the frame under a 10lb claimer who got a fair tune out of him last time.
- Ajmera
- Shareva
- Al Batal
