Newcomer by smart Australian stallion Epaulette is half-sister to two useful middle distance performers and a bumper winner so this trip will surely be too sharp.

Exceed And Excel newcomer is a sister to a 1m AW winner and half-sister to five more winners. Trainer had just three winners from 68 two-year-old runners this term so likely need the run.

Pivotal newcomer out of an unplaced dam from a decent family at around 1m. One of three for her top trainer here so market may guide but due to carry owner's second colours (Gleeful carries first).

New Approach debutant is the first foal out of a 6f two-year-old Group Three winner for these connections from a good, speedy family. Trainer runs three so market informative but pedigree makes plenty of appeal.

Twice raced filly shaped with plenty of promise on debut at Kempton when third but shade disappointing next when fourth as odds-on favourite at Newcastle, both over 7f. Drop to 6f may suit and has to be considered on turf debut.

€100,000 foal (unsold as a yearling) by Zoffany is a half-sister to eight winners including Abbaye winner Gilt Edge Girl and 5f two-year-old Group Two winner Godfrey Street. Very fast pedigree and expecting a strong showing first time up.

Invincible Spirit filly has finished third in all three starts to date with the latest over 7f a little disappointing after two 6f seconds at Newmarket. Again sets the standard high and return to 6f likely a positive so the one to beat.

Newcomer by Lope De Vega out of a dam placed from 1m-1m1½f. Good family overall but likely need time and trainer's two-year-old record is pretty ordinary. Yard also run Lady Dauphin.

Newcomer by good first season sire Bungle Inthejungle out of an unraced dam and cost £28,000 at the sales in the Spring. Lots to like in the dam's family but trainer record tempers enthusiasm. Yard also run Lady Amelia.

Newcomer by Sepoy is a half-sister to five winners including useful AW two-year-old Kyleakin Lass but only cost 8,000 when retained by her vendor. Trainer knows time of day with two-year-olds but other newcomers appeal more.
Newcomer by French Guineas winner Style Vendome out of a Listed placed 1m winner. Trainer one from 20 with two-year-olds this season and not in great form overall.

Dubawi filly led 1f out in her second start over 7f at Newmarket before finishing third of 12 (second of nine in group). Not bred to be a sprinter but two races both suggested she may be suited and has to be considered here.
Bargain but at just 2,000gns as the first foal out of an ordinary 1m AW winner. Far from appealing pedigree compared to other debutants and best watched here.

Forecasts

Nashirah (11/10), Handmaiden (13/8), Gleeful (10/1), Fabiolla (20/1), Graceful (20/1), Local History (25/1), Lady Amelia (28/1), Chelseanna (28/1), Spiritually (33/1), Dashed (40/1), Mithayel Style (50/1), Lady Dauphin (66/1), Anglesey Penny (66/1), Secret Treaties (150/1), Belle Bayeux (150/1)

Verdict

HANDMAIDEN can go one better than her three starts to date in which she has finished second in each for champion trainer John Gosden. Nashirah may prove the biggest danger based on her good third last time out with all evidence pointing to 6f being in her favour. Roger Varian has three runners and Gleeful, the only one to have run makes the most appeal although his two debutants are also interesting.
