Made all at Kempton over 1m4f in March and runs off the same mark now but has struggled since and the first time visor to have a dramatic effect.
Hit form in a big way this time last year with a pair of wins both over 1m4f. Struggling this summer but back in the right grade, and just 3lb above last winning mark. Trip could be on the short side but one to watch in market.
Took advantage of been given an easy lead when scoring at Lingfield and not disgraced in follow up at Chelmsford since. The third on that occasion has franked the form so at least the form in the context of a weak race like this bears scrutiny.
Better last time when third at Chelmsford and that run suggests he now needs this sort of trip. At least that shows he is currently in form which has to make him of interest in this.
Cheek pieces retained after first try in them when close 5th over 1m4f here last time. That followed another respectable effort at this venue and the drop down in trip might help.
Multiple winner in the past but had been struggling until bouncing back to winning ways from out of the blue at Bellewstown in August. Hasn't been in the same form two runs since but this is a return to a more realistic level.
Plenty of form here in the past but off the track since December and was regressive when last seen.
Soft ground win at Hamilton 2 starts ago was his only win in 17 attempts this year and is 5lb hgher this evening.
Cost 120,000 gns as a yearling but has shown very little in four runs including handicap debut when last seen in July. Few miles on the clock but needs a jolt of improvement.
Trainer always to be feared with his runners over here and the five-year-old's two most recent runs over here have both been franked by the winner each time following up since. Jockey booking is interesting and has to be on the short list.
Runner up last two starts and although no chance with a runaway winner latest, at least it shows she is still in form to be respected here.
Yet to make the frame in 10 previous attempts on the AW so easy to look elsewhere.
Was in form in the summer of 2017 including a victory here off 11lb higher but struggles since and plenty to prove for now.
Forecasts
True Romance (4/1), Tifl (5/1), Mostawfee (13/2), Cat Royale (15/2), D'waterside (17/2), River Cafe (9/1), Jack Blane (11/1), Udogo (12/1), War Room (12/1), Guarantor (20/1), Champagne Rules (25/1), Makhfar (28/1), Little Choosey (50/1)
MOSTAWFEE is a very interesting raider from a stable who has done well this year on their visits and looks the safest option. CAT ROYALE is running to a decent enough level at present while a market move for the potentially well weighted CHAMPAGNE RULES should be noted.
- Mostawfee
- Cat Royale
- Champagne Rules
