Very smart performer on his day and won this race off 1lb higher last year. Conditions no problem and has an excellent record fresh. Everything primed for a solid defense of his crown.
Ran some excellent races last year in Graded company but failed on the big stage in March. Returns from a summer break and is more than capable of getting involved off this sort of mark.
Won the Grand Annual at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Returns from a summer break here and back over hurdles today. Not totally discounted but is a better chaser these days.
Not seen since causing a shock in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. 7lb higher here but has the potential to do better if fit and ready to go.
4/10 over hurdles but better known as a chaser these days. Comfirtable winner off 3lb higher than this over fences when last seen in May. Returns from a five-month break but could be dangerous if fully tuned up here.
More successes over fences than hurdles, but is switched back to timber off a much lower mark. Yard had a good start to the season and has the ability to go close here.
Made good progress last year and finished the season with a sound win in a Grade 3 handicap at Haydock in May. Up 7lb for seasonal return and every chance of showing further progress this term.
Won back-to-back raced over fences in the spring and has been on an upward curve despite his advancing age. Tougher task here back over hurdles on return from a break.
Forecasts
Silver Streak (3/1), Mohaayed (3/1), The New One (7/2), Le Prezien (5/1), Ozzie The Oscar (6/1), Sizing Granite (12/1), Ch'tibello (14/1), Rock On Rocky (50/1)
THE NEW ONE won this race off a 1lb higher mark last year and has an excellent record fresh. He has sound claims of defending his crown and should be tough to beat once again. Dan Skelton has strong claims of upsetting the favourite with Country Hurdle winner Mohaayed and Ch'Tibello both coming here with excellent chances.
