2-23 record and still above his last winning mark. Better than his last two runs indicate and cheekpieces return. Worth a market check having drifted ominously last time.
Runner-up in the last two runnings of this. Excuses for his last two performances and he is below his last winning mark with underfoot conditions to suit.
Record stands at just 1-25 but he has been placed on three of his four starts here. Worth another go at this trip having looked short of pace lately.
Redcar winner at this trip who was edged out over 2m here last time having touched 1.01 in running. Up another 2lb but has more to offer than most in this.
Shaped well after a break last time given conditions were quicker than ideal. Looked ready for this extra quarter mile and has to be fancied with the ground turning favourable.
Has plenty of ability, but doesn't always give it all when required, and strike rate in recent times is poor. Challenging ride for a claimer and others preferred.
Hurdles winner who is yet to make the frame in seven Flat starts. Joined current yard for £3,200 last month.
2-49 career record with both victories having come here. Without a win since June 2016 and this looks a good race for the grade.
Yet to make the frame but represents a trainer with a good record here and who took this last year. Has plenty to find with Betancourt on latest running.
Inconsistent and moderate 15-race maiden whose lack of pace may be offset at this trip on this ground. Still there are others in this with more obvious claims.
Has threatened to win a small race over this sort of trip and his penultimate run suggested his turn may be near. 2m may have been too far last time.
Forecasts
Betancourt (9/4), Legalized (6/1), Echo (13/2), Falcon's Fire (7/1), Queen Adelaide (17/2), Richard Strauss (9/1), Fillydelphia (14/1), Sincerely Resdev (18/1), Zig Zag (20/1), Jan De Heem (25/1), Foxy Lass (66/1)
Jan De Heem bids to make it third time lucky in this and his current mark makes that entirely possible and the softer the ground the better. Betancourt is in good shape currently and is sure to be thereabouts, but ECHO caught the eye last time and is fancied to fulfil that potential. Jedd O'Keefe's runner was returning after a break on ground faster than ideal but was noted making late gains. As a winner on soft ground over a mile as a juvenile he should have little difficulty staying this far and he has the potential to step up on previous efforts.

- Betancourt
