Good second at Thirsk on debut behind Zaaki (1m, soft) and didn't have to match that to one better over same C&D last time. Off since May, but conditions fine, and sets the bar high.
Last of five on sole Flat outing, although has gone on to show fair form over hurdles. Below form in that sphere last time, though, and no great appeal here.
Not seen out since landing a 6f maiden in the mud here last September. Looked a decent prospect in beating an odds-on favourite for that success, but absence since much be a concern.
From family of breeder's Prix du Moulin winner Aqlaam and top stayer Persian Punch, but sold cheaply in August. Unfancied for debut at Pontefract, but shaped well in finishing second, and may do better, for all this is tougher.
Cost 45,000 gns and is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Lesson In Humility. From an in-form yard and needs a market check for all his debut comes at a belated stage of the season.
100,000 gns daughter of Oasis Dream who ran in a couple of warm novice contests in the summer, and found some improvement when second of 10 to Contrive in a 1m maiden at Lingfield last time. Fair bit more needed if she's to go one better.
Forecasts
New Graduate (6/5), This Girl (7/4), Muthanaa (11/2), Time For A Toot (12/1), Toro (22/1), Samson's Reach (50/1)
NEW GRADUATE has been off since winning at Thirsk in May, but sets a solid standard, and his main danger on form, This Girl, has an even longer absence to overcome. Time For A Toot needs one or other of that pair to falter, but looks best of the rest.
