By Irish Leger winner Sans Frontieres out of an unraced sister to Aintree Foxhunters winner Trust Fun. Stable yet to start firing but one to watch for the future.
Point-to-point runner-up made a low key bumper debut in May. Has changed yards since but others are more appealing.

Recorded the second fastest time of the day when landing a Loughanmore point-to-point in May. Joined top yard for £25,000 subsequently and there is enough speed in the pedigree to suggest he can be a factor here.

Bought for €295,000 after landing a Deauville bumper over 1m4f. Sent off favourite for hurdling debut but he made errors and was soon beaten. Wind surgery since and returns with stable going well.

Joined current yard for £65,000 but has not justified that price tag in two bumper outings. Wind surgery may have solved the issue but best watched in the meantime.

Modest point-to-point form prior to scoring at Bellurgan Park. That is a testing track so concerns whether this will be a sufficient test.

Southwell bumper winner made errors on hurdling debut. Chased home a useful recruit from the Flat that day, although the proximity of moderate horses in third, fourth and fifth cast a doubt over the form value.
9
Horse silk
12/1
Made a marked improvement on his French debut effort when 16-1 and 3½L third to a useful sort in a Fontwell juvenile hurdle. Stable had a winner on Sunday and one for the shortlist here.

Placed in a point-to-point and has shaped with promise so far. Did not handle the ground last time and one to note in the market here.

By Tajraasi (half-brother to Faugheen's sire, Germany) and a half-brother to Kim Bailey's useful stayer Patsys Castle. Likely to be meeting more forward types here over a trip which may be short of his best.

Had the useful Highway One O One behind when landing his point-to-point. Has improved with each run under rules and has the form to go close here with the yard's horses looking in good shape.

£70,000 half-brother to Monbeg Charmer showed a good turn of foot to land a slowly run Market Rasen bumper. Looked a useful sort and not too highly tried on hurdling debut.

Winning point-to-pointer has shown some signs of temperament under rules. Has undergone wind surgery ahead of hurdling debut but carries a risk warning.

Verdict

Some top yards are represented by long term projects and this can be narrowed down to TOKAY DOKEY, Smugglers Blues, Dostal Phil, Kitkat, Neachells Bridge and Monsieur Lecoq. The latter comes from a stable that had a 20/1 winner in a similar race on Sunday and the face value of his last outing puts him firmly in the picture. Smuggler's Blues has the best overall hurdling form, whilst Dostal Phil is an expensive buy who will need to jump better than on his debut. Kitkat and Neachells Bridge need to improve but are capable of doing so, however the selection looked above-average when taking his bumper and can take this en-route to better things.
  1. Tokay Dokey
  2. Smuggler's Blues
  3. Monsieur Lecoq
