Won well in a handicap off a mark of 82 at Wolverhampton two starts back over 7f but things have not really gone to plane since. Claims back down in these calmer waters but goes up significantly in trip here and needs to prove he stays.
Has shown ability on all three starts and still looked to be learning on the job at bath last time. Starts life in handicaps on a very workable mark and top rider booked. Leading claims.
Improved efforts on all three starts in novice/maiden company. Nursery debut off a fair mark and likely there is going to be plenty more to come now moving up in trip.
Best effort so far when a close-up fifth at Goodwood last time. The form of that race hasn't really worked out as yet. Fair opening mark and could be some improvement to come so not totally discounted.
Has looked short of speed over shorter on his three qualifying runs. Type to take a step forward now stepping up in trip and moving into handicaps. Any market support may well be significant.
Has been improving with each run since going handicapping with things not really going his way. Shaped like this longer trip will really suit and will be a major player if things drop right here.
Forecasts
Gentle Look (11/10), Murray River (5/2), Calling The Wind (5/1), Critical Data (11/1), Prince Llyr (14/1), Lord Lamington (25/1)
Calling The Wind has shaped like this trip will really help and is very much respected having not had things go his way the last twice. Both MURRAY RIVER and Gentle Look come here with plenty of potential off their opening marks however and preference is just for the former who also shapes like this trip will really suit.
