Won a Catterick bumper in December, and impressed with manneer of his success on hurdles bow at Ayr, quickening readily to beat Swaffham Bulbeck by 6L. Respected under his penalty.
Ask gelding from family of Scottish National winner Hello Bud, and bred to need a thorough test of stamina. Placed in a point-to-point in June, but likely to find this test too sharp.
Showed ability on sole bumper start, but beaten a long way on hurdles bow at Newton Abbot recently, and hard to see a tongue tie (replacing hood he wore last time) making enough difference here.
No solid form in three starts over hurdles to date, and presumably heading down the handicap route after this run.
Leading bumper performer last season, his sole defeat coming in a strong listed event at Newbury in February. Yard ticking over nicely, and expected to take all the beating on hurdles debut.
Just a modest Flat handicapper for Jim Goldie in 2016, and soundly beaten on hurdles debut for current yard at Hexham on Saturday having undergone wind surgery.
Looked sure to win on bumper debut at Kelso in January until collared close home, and possibly not over those exertions when finishing tired there on subsequent outing. More needed now hurdling, even if back to form.
First foal of a point winner and maiden hurdler, and bred very much for stamina, so unlikely to be suited by this relative test of speed on hurdles debut, even if fully wound up.
Both bumper runs in the spring came on testing ground, and matched debut form when 12L second of 8 to Lily's Gem here in April. Looks a stayer, so may need further, but a good prospect for hurdles nonetheless.
Lost a shoe on hurdles debut at Musselburgh in January, since when he's progressed to win four times on the Flat at up to 1m4f. No forlorn hope back under this code based on those exploits.
Won a bumper at Fontwell last September, but hasn't matched that form in two runs over hurdles, and needs this for a handicap mark.
No impact in varied company in the last year, and makes no appeal in what looks quite a warm novice.
Forecasts
Good Boy Bobby (4/9), Return Ticket (7/2), The Some Dance Kid (6/1), En Meme Temps (12/1), Hitman Fred (25/1), Weather Front (28/1), Malindi Bay (33/1), Moyaszov (50/1), Asking For Answers (80/1), Farlam King (200/1), Hero's Story (200/1), Wise Coco (200/1)
GOOD BOY BOBBY was one of the leading bumper performers last season, and should be able to make a winning debut in this sphere with his yard's horses seemingly well forward. Return Ticket will struggle to give weight to the selection if that one jumps proficiently, but still looks best of the rest, ahead of The Some Dance Kid.
