Grade 3 winner over hurdles. Won on chase debut but made jumping errors on his subsequent two starts and hasn't been seen since pulled up at Cheltenham in January. Could prove well-handicapped off this mark but others make more appeal.

Has two wins over fences to his name but he's not always the slickest jumper, as seen when making errors at the Cheltenham Festival before falling. Starts out for a new yard and has his first outing since wind surgery here.

Hasn't won since winning a Grade 3 handicap chase back in 2016. Below that winning mark now and respected for a trainer who has been in good form in recent weeks.

Won three times last season and all his career wins have come with heavy in the going description. That has to be against him here but he was going the right way throughout last season and may be capable of better still.

Experienced chaser who finished an 11L second in a three-runner affair at Warwick earlier in the month. Needs to come on plenty for that against less exposed rivals here.

Forecast

Ballyandy (11/10), Willie Boy (9/4), Katachenko (5/1), Rear Admiral (11/1), Acdc (12/1)

Verdict

KATACHENKO is back below his last winning handicap mark and given how well the yard's runners have been performing in recent weeks, this nine-year-old may have an edge over several of these. Ballyandy is still an exciting prospect despite a couple of disappointments over the larger obstacles last winter. Acdc was improving last year and can't be ruled out if ready to go off an absence here.
