Consistent lately; made the frame in each of his last two starts at Redcar (1m), including when beaten just 1½L in a Class 2 handicap behind Give It Some Teddy latest.
Thrived since landing a touch over C&D in June, with his subsequent form figures reading 112; 4lb higher than when beaten ½L by Ladies First in a 7f York Apprentices Handicap (good to soft) in September.
Took full advantage of a falling mark when recording a sixth C&D win last month, but never competitive (off 4lb higher) in a muddling race here last week; still handily treated and always worthy of respect at this track.
Form figures on the AW in 2018 read 222211; absent since beating Sir Lancelott by 3¼L at Wolverhampton (1m+) in April; 5lb higher tonight.
Perfectly capable at this track when on song (finished 4L third to Little Jo over C&D on his penultimate start - form solid), but arguably isn't wholly reliable; held by Testa Rossa.
6lb lower than when scoring over 1m at Pontefract (good) in the spring of 2017; back in better form from this mark at Ripon last time, but with AW prowess to prove.
Third and beaten just under 2L by Mudawwan over 7f here last month; 4lb better off tonight, but disappointing back on turf at Ripon since (6f) and has to conclusively prove his stamina reserves over a stiff mile.
Hasn't won since September 2017, when notching the second of his two Hamilton wins (over an extended mile on soft ground); handicap mark feasible and goes well for David Nolan; AW debut.
Formerly with Richard Fahey (and a three-time winner between 7f and 1m); untested on the AW and probably needed the race when finishing last of 13 on stable debut (50/1) at Ayr (7f) 15 days ago; other days ahead.

Forecasts
Pickett's Charge (2/1), Billy Roberts (11/4), Field Gun (11/4), Alfred Richardson (7/2), Testa Rossa (5/1), Mudawwan (7/1), Amood (12/1), Street Poet (12/1), Fleetfoot Jack (14/1), Muatadel (25/1), Invermere (100/1)
Without doubt, overall the stronger of the two divisions of this Class 5 1m handicap, but due to the non-appearance of Field Gun equally challenging to solve. Pickett's Charge has gone from strength to strength since landing a sizeable gamble in the very first race of the Northumberland Plate Festival in June, and is entitled to be on the premises despite a 4lb rise for his recent York (7f) defeat. Testa Rossa had excuses latest, but is still handily weighted and always a force to be reckoned with at Gosforth Park, but the back to form MUDAWWAN gets the nod with Josephine Gordon in the saddle, and 'victim' Im Dapper Too expected to go close in Div 1 at 7.45pm.
- Mudawwan
- Pickett's Charge
- Testa Rossa
