By Lope De Vega out of a winning half-sister to high class sprinter Alhebayeb. Kept on pleasingly when 7L fifth of 12 to Breath of Air in 6f maiden at Newbury first time out, and sure to play a big part with normal improvement.

Epaulette half-brother to a number of winners including the useful Snow Trooper. Showed speed but faded tamely when last of 15 on debut here last month.

Half-brother to US 5f-7f dirt winner Aussie Rocks. Couldn't sustain his effort when fifth of 14 to Clara Peeters in 7f novice event at Salisbury, but drop in trip and benefit of that run should ensure he's competitive.

From a very productive female line, and showed plenty to work on when 2¼L fifth of 13 to True Hero in a 5f maiden at Nottingham. Bred to stay 1m+, so this longer trip is sure to suit, and he has solid claims.

Mayson half-brother to 1m3f winner Percy Prosecco. Just a modest pedigree, and yard far from prolific with juveniles.

Purchased for €70,000 at Breeze Ups earlier this year (cost more as a yearling), and showed ability despite finishing well held on racecourse bow at Leicester last month. Will do much better somewhere down the line.

Charm Spirit half-brother to very smart 6f-1m winner Sovereign Debt and useful 6f/7f winners Puff and Sorelle Delle Rose. Appeals on pedigree, and market check needed with top rider booked.

Dam ran just once, but has produced top sprinter Tasleet, and this daughter of Coach House shaped better than the result when third of 7 to Conga in a 6f novice at Haydock. Sets the standard on that, and will improve.

Forecasts

Aplomb (2/1), Sarasota Bay (4/1), Invincible Larne (4/1), Lyndon B (5/1), Global Acclamation (15/2), Legend Island (12/1), Ketts Hill (50/1), Badger Berry (80/1)

Verdict

SARASOTA BAY showed bundles of speed before fading on soft ground at Haydock last month, and the half-sister to Tasleet looks sure to improve and go close now. Aplomb had a pleasing introduction at Newbury and will be competitive if improving as expected, with Invincible Larne also respected on the form of his debut over what would appear an inadequate trip.
  1. Sarasota Bay
  2. Aplomb
  3. Invincible Larne
