Had been shaping with promise before battling on well to win at Haydock (6f, good to soft) last time. Last four wins have come with that going description so would fancy some rain. Up 5lb but in good form.
Seems to be a better performer on the AW and bounced back to form with a good win at Chelmsford last time. Up 5lb and further questions to ask now back on turf. Yard having a very good spell.
Has run some fine races in big-field handicaps this season without getting his head in front. Continues to slip down the weights and a bold show would not surprise.
Has won here five times in the past including this race last year off a 4lb lower mark. Glimpses of a return to form the last twice and riders claim makes his a pretty appealing prospect to follow-up last years success.
Back to his last winning mark at Bath in May and has shaped with encouragement on his last two starts. Likes a bit of cut in the ground so any rain a bonus and has pretty solid place claims at least.
Shaped as if needing run on debut for current yard, and back on track when ½L second of 8 to Beyond Equal at Ffos Las last time, despite a slow start. Can build on that, and very fairly treated on balance with cheekpieces added.
Won back-to-back races at Lingifeld and Ffos Las but blew chance of a hat-trick at Doncaster next time with a poor start. Only a fair effort at Newmarket last time and handicapper may well have him for now. Cheekpieces added.
Only had two starts since a long summer break and returned with a good effort at Ffos Las. Took a step backwards at Haydock last time dropped to 5f and has a few questions to answer now.
Has shaped for a while like he'll end up better than this mark, especially with cut in the ground. Well punted when outpaced over 5f last time and a return to this trip helps. Will be a major player if he can lay up with them early and gaps appear.

Dark Power (3/1), Alaadel (7/2), Pettochside (7/1), Thammin (7/1), Smokey Lane (8/1), The Daley Express (9/1), Bernardo O'Reilly (9/1), Upstaging (10/1), Glenamoy Lad (10/1), Diamond Dougal (16/1)
The Daley Express looks ready to get back to winning ways having dropped to his last winning mark. Pettochside has won here five times including this race last year and having shaped with promise of late his riders claim makes him very appealing indeed. We have to give one more chance though to ALAADEL who was outpaced over 5f at Ascot last time but was backed like he was expected to go well. This trip suits better and if the gaps come he could prove better tan this mark.
- Alaadel
- Pettochside
- The Daley Express
