Scored for the first time on turf at Ffos Las (1m2f, soft) last time, when 6lb lower. Gave the impression there was more to come there and should give a very good account in attempting to follow up.

Sole success was over 1m6f (AW) at Chantilly last year. Has been improving in three starts for this trainer, going close over C&D (good to soft) last time. Looks a player from the same mark.

Showed a penchant for soft ground when runner-up over this trip at Doncaster in April. Has since changed hands and was beaten 12L on stable debut last time at Ripon (1m4f). Back on same mark as at Doncaster and over this trip, he is interesting.

All his turf wins have involved some cut in the ground, so conditions suit him well, while he is also back on the same mark as his last two wins. Hasn't been in tremendous form of late, but is interesting in a first-time visor.

Has a low-key start for this trainer this year, but he has found improvement in her and she scored over C&D (soft) last time under this jockey. 6lb rise will ask further questions, but she wouldn't need much improvement to have a big say again.

Dual AW winner and although he has run several races on turf, he remains a maiden from 12 attempts. On a competitive mark and will probably appreciate the return to this trip.

Has made the frame in a couple of maiden/novice events lately, including here over 7f in August. Handles cut. Initial mark stiff enough on what we have seen, but is unexposed and the subject of an interesting jockey booking.

Dual course winner (1m/1m1f), but with cut in the ground. Now 2lb lower than the more recent of those, last season. Should be competitive.

15lb lower than his last win. Goes well over 7f-1m and on soft ground.. Not been able to show much this year, however. Others preferred.

Dual 1m1f winner at this track and has also gone close over C&D twice from this mark this season. Bit more needed, but not easy to rule him out.

Scored on heavy at Clonmel (1m2f) in May and is 6lb higher today. Well held on her last couple of starts. Claimer now enlisted and although he looks to have plenty on his plate, it would not surprise to see a significantly better effort.

Scored on soft at Pontefract (1m) last year, when 1lb higher. On the slide this season, including when handicapper gave her a chance last time. Bit to prove.

Forecast

Syndicate (11/4), County Fair (4/1), Sarvi (11/2), Alabanza (11/2), Chinese Spirit (15/2), Scealai Aonair (15/2), Thundercloud (12/1), Iconic Code (18/1), Emerald Rocket (18/1), Essenaitch (18/1), Duquesa Beach (18/1), Knightly Spirit (20/1), Boots And Spurs (33/1), Remember Rocky (50/1)

Verdict

Syndicate should give another good account here after a 6lb rise, but COUNTY FAIR is the suggestion. Jim Goldie's colt in showing improvement and can take another step up today to win this. Knightly Spirit is an interesting potential contender, while Sarvi, Emerald Rocket and Scealai Aonair are not ruled out.
