The penalised Ajrar has boxed outside of his comfort zone (in Listed and Group races) since winning on debut at Lingfield in July and ought to be far more competitive in this much lesser race. However, unfortunately for his connections, he clashes with the John Gosden-trained BUFFALO RIVER. Despite being turned over at very short odds over C&D last month, his earlier third placed effort at Doncaster sets the standard, with that form handsomely franked over the weekend by both the winner Royal Marine (Longchamp) and the runner-up Turgenev (Newmarket).
