Won this last year from the same mark (soft) and added another success from this mark at Chepstow in June. Out of sorts last time, but still plenty going for him here.
Has won twice this season at around 1m. Beaten from this mark last time, so has a bit to prove in that respect and also now dropped again in trip.
Has won here three times (on good to firm/good to soft/soft), the most recent coming in July from 6lb lower. Not as good as that in two of his three runs since and needs to better it for a fourth course win.
Scored over C&D in a seller last time out, but has gone close earlier in the season from this mark on handicap company. Considered.
Landed a lady amateurs' contest at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) last time out, when 6lb lower. Has run well from marks similar to this earlier in the season, so could again go close. More needed to back up that win.
Scored over 6f here last year and ran well over C&D last time, from 1lb lower. More needed for another win, but has each-way claims.
Last seen getting off the mark (12th start) at Nottingham in July. That looks a solid effort in this grade and he raced freely, suggesting this drop in trip may not be wide of the mark. Interesting from 1lb higher.
Scored over C&D and (without penalty) at Catterick recently. More needed from him to complete a hat-trick now that he shoulders an extra 6lb.
Put up her best performance on Tapeta and has not shown a huge amount on turf so far. Slipping in the handicap, and money for her would be interesting, but hard to recommend on what we have seen.
Showed some promise last year for Ed Dunlop, but has not gone on from that this year. Watch.
Has recorded three wins on AW, but 0-15 on turf and looks worth taking on again.
Finished runner-up in a 6f Lingfield seller on her reappearance in June. Changed hands to this trainer after that, but well held in all starts. Sliding in the weights, but not easy to fancy.
Best effort came here (6f, good) in May. Has been well beaten on both starts since then. Others preferred.
0-14 and although she ran well enough over 1m at Brighton last time, she is very hard to fancy from 6lb out of the handicap.

Peachey Carnehan (4/1), Champagne Bob (6/1), Relight My Fire (6/1), Plucky Dip (7/1), Lamb Chop (7/1), Wahaab (7/1), Grinty (7/1), Channel Packet (15/2), Kavora (14/1), La Sioux (20/1), Vicky Cristina (25/1), Lyrical Pursuit (33/1), Hold Your Breath (40/1), Canimar (40/1), Locommotion (50/1)
Wahaab should go very well in trying to win this for a second year in succession from the same mark, but the suggestion is GRINTY, who represents a stable on a high and could have his best chance since last year's Redcar win. Lamb Chop has claims back in this company, while Channel Packet might still have the speed to get closely involved over this shorter trip than his last-time win. Relight My Fire and Plucky Dip are both much respected.
- Grinty
- Wahaab
- Channel Packet
