Gained back to back wins earlier in the campaign but hard to make a case for having finished tailed off on each of his last three starts. Wears first-time tongue-tie.
Hasn't won since 2014 but hasn't finished outside the first three in his last six starts. Blatantly well-handicapped on old form but losing run is a little off-putting.
Useful on his day but hasn't won on turf on the Flat since 2009. Has been below form in five starts for this outfit and possibly getting a little long in the tooth now.
Inconsistent performer with just two wins from 31 starts (nine over hurdles). Gives the impression he needs everything to drop right and still above his winning handicap mark; looks vulnerable.
Sole win in 13 starts came on AW at Newcastle when bolting up but hasn't managed to back that up in four start since from his revised handicap mark. Starts out for a new yard and may need this run on return.
Winner on debut for this yard over hurdles and followed up with a Carlisle win on the Flat. Running well in defeat under both codes since including here last time out and clearly thriving at present. Each-way claims again.
Won on her final turf start of 2017 but has returned below form this time around. Below her last winning handicap mark but needs to take a step forward from her effort on return at Ripon last time.
Has won just once in 21 starts and that came in a minor affair in France back in 2016. Handicap mark on the slide but with good reason and struggling to get competitive in recent starts.
Sole win in 16 Flat starts came in heavy ground at Nottingham off a mark of 53 in 2017. Well above that handicap mark here, has a wide draw and has been below form in his two most recent starts.
Narrowly held on when gaining his first career win at Newcastle back in July but hasn't been able to build on that since and doesn't look like the easiest ride. Wide draw to cope with here and others preferred.
Has really started to find her form of late and arrives bidding for a hat-trick after an impressive success here last time out. Only up 5lb for that and hard to beat again with De Sousa taking over.
Forecasts
So Near So Farhh (5/6), Rubenesque (7/2), Angel Gabrial (9/1), With Pleasure (10/1), Bodacious Name (14/1), Galileo's Spear (16/1), Forbidding (25/1), Dalshand (33/1), Hediddodinthe (40/1), Wishing Well (50/1), Zakatal (50/1)
SO NEAR SO FARHH was very much in control when getting the better of Rubenesque last time out and the pair are taken to fill the same two positions again here given the assessor appears to have let both of them off lightly for their efforts. Wishing Well may come on for her most recent run and represent a bit of each-way value.
- So Near So Farhh
- Rubenesque
- Wishing Well
