First run following a wind operation when runner-up at Wolverhampton recently. Leading contender if able to replicate that display.
Equiano colt who is a half-brother to a couple of winners on Fibresand. Makes his debut and is probably best watched on this occasion.
Ran into a high-class colt in Jash on debut at Salisbury, but was not disgraced in fifth and is likely to do much better this time.
Solid efforts to be third on both starts at Newmarket and Newbury. This looks an easier contest and that makes him a leading contender with improvement on the cards.
Charm Spirit colt who fetched 130,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to smart 5f/6f winner Temple Meads and useful 6f winner Sneak Preview. Slowly away when last of 12 on debut at Haydock, but should be wiser this time.
Well held on both starts at Windsor, but it is early days for him and this switch to the AW may suit. Looks one for nurseries after this.
Promise on debut at Ffos Las, but failed to back that up at Newbury. Stable enjoying a purple patch so he is not one to be writing off despite looking to be his leading owner's second string behind Mawsool.
Exceed And Excel colt who cost 90,000 gns as a yearling and is from a winning family over a variety of distances. Nice pedigree and is worth a check in the betting on debut.
Sepoy filly who was always struggling when last of 12 on debut at Yarmouth. Best watched until showing more.
Promise despite finishing out of the frame on both starts at this venue and Goodwood. Needs to find a little more, but this is only her third run and she is entitled to improve.
Forecasts
Cool Reflection (6/4), Quarry Beach (3/1), Mawsool (8/1), Lethal Missile (10/1), Punjab Mail (12/1), Tanqeeb (14/1), Ragstone Cowboy (16/1), Total Commitment (16/1), Dance To Freedom (50/1), Bettshekan (150/1)
Tanqeeb hails from a stable in red-hot form and could leave his Newbury running behind, but the same owner's MAWSOOL looks the one to beat after a couple of good efforts at leading tracks. Cool Reflection and Quarry Beach have the form to figure, while it would be no surprise to see Lethal Missile improve significantly on his debut run.
- Mawsool
- Cool Reflection
- Tanqeeb
