Course winner. Produced a career best when winning a Group 2 at Ascot in June. Not quite at the same level when fourth in a Group 1 in France last time but a return to quicker ground should suit and she ought to get a decent pace to aim at.

Group 3 winner here towards the end of last year and while she's not managed to add to her sole win this season, she has place claims if she can repeat the effort that saw her finish runner-up in a Group 1 over C&D in July. Interesting runner.

Mightily impressive winner of the 1,000 Guineas over C&D, getting the better of subsequent Group 1 winner Laurens, but she's been a shade disappointing in two starts since. There's a suspicion she needs everything to drop right but hard to discount.

Group 1 winner at this course as a juvenile but hasn't quite managed to replicate that level of form in four starts this year. Has a bit to find with Laurens after finishing 2L behind her at Leopardstown last month but yard in better form now.

Dual Group 1 winner as a juvenile and placed in both 1,000 Guineas either side of the Irish Sea at the start of the campaign. Quite possible others have improved past her on the evidence of her last couple of starts and others make more appeal.

Produced a career best performance when winning a Group 2 at Leopardstown last time. Needs more to mix it at this level but should get a decent pace to aim at here and we may not have seen the best of her yet.

Gained a fourth Group 1 success with an impressive win at Leopardstown last time and has smart form over this C&D (fillies' mile winner and 1,000 Guineas runner-up). Game performer who will be hard to beat in her bid to try and make all here.

7/1
Course winner when losing her maiden tag over 7f on final start of 2017. Has finished third in a pair of Group 1 races this year and took advantage of a drop in class when winning a Group 3 at Sandown last time. Needs to improve for win purposes.

Didn't need to improve to win a Group 3 at Deauville two starts back but put up a career best in defeat last time back in a Longchamp Group 1 and can't be ruled out back against her own sex here. Yet to run on quicker than good.

Forecasts

Laurens (11/4), Wind Chimes (3/1), Clemmie (6/1), Veracious (7/1), Happily (8/1), I Can Fly (12/1), Billesdon Brook (14/1), Aljazzi (20/1), Altyn Orda (25/1), Wilamina (33/1)

Verdict

LAURENS will be hard to beat over her optimum trip at a course she clearly excels at and she's taken to land her fifth Group 1 success. The French raider Wind Chimes brings a strong level of form in to this after her effort in a Group 1 last time and she could be the main danger if she handles the ground/track. Altyn Orda wasn't seen at her best last time out but the yard are in better form now and she ran well when placed in Group 1 company on the July course back in the summer.
  1. Laurens
  2. Wind Chimes
  3. Altyn Orda
