Off the mark on the sixth attempt at Yarmouth over 6f but disappointed as favourite off 6lb higher at Leicester. Leaves a bit to prove on first start here and not certain to stay the extra furlong.

Has proven far more effective at Yarmouth and has been well beaten into last place on her two most recent runs. Hard to recommend.

Meydan winner in March but in four poor starts since arriving on these shores has only beaten one horse home. Others readily preferred.

Remains 4lb higher than sole winning mark but had paid the price for consistency until a very poor run at Leicester. Needs to bounce back and others better handicapped.

Last run on the AW was an encouraging second at Chelmsford but looks in the grip of the handicapper off 5lb higher and was tailed off at Doncaster on most recent start.

Races off 7lb lower mark on the AW compared to turf and too advantage for a better third over this C&D. However will need to step up on that here.

Beaten at odds-on over this C&D on just her fourth start when getting caught wide on the turn. Was powering home and with the anticipated improvement could be on a good mark on this handicap debut.

Has enjoyed a very busy but good year and went close when third off this mark at Chelmsford. No reason she shouldn't be involved again on a surface she acts on.

Now 4lb lower than when winning at Newmarket last year but nowhere near that in four starts this campaign and yet to place in three on the AW.

Back to form second over 6f here last time and does stay this extra furlong. Now 1lb lower and likely to be competitive again.

Placed in all three career starts but was slowly away and probably the worst performance of the trio at Wolverhampton last time. Open to improvement on handicap debut but does need to find extra.

Failed to build on promise of last year's debut in three subsequent starts, including on handicap debut back in January. Hard to make a case for after a lengthy absence.

Showed significant improvement and a nice turn of foot to win at Salisbury on handicap debut. More required off 7lb higher and in a tougher race but has to be respected.

Forecasts

Wilbury Twist (5/2), Silver Swift (4/1), Sonnet Rose (8/1), Zafaranah (9/1), Bubbly (10/1), Seprani (10/1), Kath's Lustre (11/1), Here's Two (16/1), Bella Ferrari (16/1), Luna Bear (16/1), Lady Alavesa (20/1), La Isla Bonita (25/1), Heart Power (25/1), Classic Charm (33/1)

Verdict

The way Silver Swift hit the line over a furlong shorter in her breakthrough success suggested there's more to come at this trip and although that form isn't overly strong, she's likely to prove popular. WILBURY TWIST has also just had the four starts and was likewise running on strongly following a luckless run over this C&D and can add to her trainer's win in this last year. Sonnet Rose may be vulnerable to more lightly-raced types but it's hard to knock her credentials while Kath's Lustre is on an attractive mark and can go close.
  1. Wilbury Twist
  2. Silver Swift
  3. Kath's Lustre
