Cost £20,000 as a juvenile and a half-brother to AW winner Sophistica. Never a factor on debut and out of his depth here.
€150,000 yearling by Dark Angel. First foal of a speedy mare who was Listed winner as a juvenile. Yard 5-18 with juveniles here over the past five seasons and the market will be revealing.
150,000 gns son of Invincible Spirit out of a half-sister to a US Grade 1 winner. Stable 1-28 with this age group over last five seasons.
Palace Episode colt who cost €20,000 as a yearling. Well-beaten on both starts to date and a big surprise if there is nothing better in the lineup.
Reportedly failed to stay 6f when dropping away quickly in the final furlong at Newbury when favourite. No surprise to see him down to the minimum trip here and he has a chance to rebound with his yard in good form.
Exceed And Excel colt bought for 260,000 gns. Half-brother to a couple of useful sprinters and has shown plenty of speed on both starts although the form of his latest effort is not strong. Stable 0-11 with juveniles this year.
Run well all four starts, going close when second in Nottingham auction event in July. Showed plenty of pace last time and the drop back to 5f may prove a good move.
Slade Power filly is a half-sister to useful two-year-old 6f winner Alqubbah. Off the track since an inauspicious debut when she was forced to race wide at Lingfield.
Full-sister to smart 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Alhebayeb and useful 2-y-o 7f winner Azmaam. Cost 100,000 and down to 5f following having failed to stay further last time. Champion jockey on board and yard won a division of this last year.
Equiano filly, half-sister to three winners over further. Dam a juvenile sprint winner and half-sister to a 6f Group 2 winner. Looked green on debut so encouraging to see her get as close as she did.
Showed pace before weakening late in an improved effort on her second start and this drop in trip should be ideal.
Zebedee half-sister to numerous winners, including talented performers Monsieur Chevalier and Outback Traveller. Stable have a good record in this but she needs to improve significantly to maintain it.
Has made little progress over her past few starts and a BHA rating of 73 suggests this would have to be a sub-standard novice for her to score.

Oisin Murphy and Silvestre De Sousa are battling it out in the jockey's championship and are set to do so here. The former may extend his lead on board TRUE HERO who failed to stay 6f last time but had shown plenty of speed to today's distance. The defending champion partners Indigo Angel who drops to this trip after two runs over 7f and comes from the Richard Hannon stable who have successfully targeted this race in the past. Lille showed a lot of promise on debut, whilst Ustath has finished second on both starts but the form of his last effort does not look good enough. Exalted Angel is an interesting newcomer for a yard with a good record here.
