2-3 around here including victory in a less competitive renewal of this 12 months ago. Arrived in better form then than is the case now.
Triple winner who landed this in 2016 and who is accustomed to crossing swords with Order Of St George, Torcedor and Flag Of Honour in Pattern company. Fourth in the Irish Leger latest and that makes him the one to beat.
Killarney bumper winner finished fourth in a Galway maiden earlier this month. That form puts her needing plenty of luck in order to score.
Brother to Capri just has a Ballinrobe maiden victory to his name so far. Out of his depth in Group company on his last two starts and apparently held by Twilight Payment on Irish Leger running.
Galileo colt who is being brought along patiently with a view to aiming at the Irish Leger in 2019. Yet to be tested in his two races and this will reveal more.
Held by Falcon Eight on Curragh form looks out of his depth here, although the going will suit him better than last time.
Progressive brother to Bondi Beach looks ready for this sort of test and could well find the improvement necessary to be a contender.
Out of his depth on his last three starts and, although this is a drop in class, he remains hard to recommend as the stable third string.
Forecasts
Twilight Payment (5/2), Falcon Eight (11/4), Victory Salute (7/2), Cypress Creek (6/1), Renneti (10/1), Persian Lion (14/1), Zabriskie (20/1), Kingston Girl (100/1)
Aidan O'Brien launches a three pronged attack at this with Cypress Creek the choice of Ryan Moore, although it would surprise few if Victory Salute improved significantly for the step up to 2m. Rennetti and TWILIGHT PAYMENT have taken the last two renewals with the latter representing a totally different calibre of opponent to those Willie Mullins' charge disposed of last year. The selection has been mixing it with Ireland's best stayers and sets the bar high for the three-year-olds. Dermot Weld's Falcon Eight has gained two facile victories and has looked smart in the process. He needs to be in order to maintain his unbeaten record in this company.
- Twilight Payment
- Falcon Eight
- Victory Salute
