Won three times last year over this trip on good/fast ground. 1lb higher today than the last of those. Would not be a shock winner, but needs to pull out a bit more than of late.
C&D scorer in 2016. 1lb higher than his latest win, which was in first-time cheekpieces at Catterick 14-months ago. In-and-out this season and needs to be a lot better than she was last time out.
After a lengthy drought he won a couple last year from 6lb and 13lb higher than this. Has put in some respectable efforts this season, but none that suggests that he is any more than an each-way player here.
Sole win was over three years ago on AW. 0-24 on turf. Has been favourite or had a share of that tag on his last two starts and been held from higher marks. Should not be far away, but risky for win purposes.
Won three times on turf in 2015, but sole success since came at Dundalk (AW) last year. 5f and good ground suits. Not ruled out on an each-way basis, but hard to be confident about a win.
3lb lower than her only win, at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) 13-months ago. Has run her race on all her last three starts. Clear each-way claims on that evidence.
Former C&D winner who handles any ground, but whose form has been on the slide for some time. Another 3lb drop here, but can only watch at present.
Forecasts
Ocelot (3/1), Suwaan (4/1), Rasheeq (4/1), Patrick (5/1), Mable Lee (15/2), Yorkshiredebut (10/1), Lucky Beggar (14/1), I'll Be Good (40/1)
A tough race, given that the conditions are that it is only open to non-winners so far this season. However, SUWAAN has shown sufficient to think that this could be his day. Mable Lee looks likely to be in the battle for prize money, while Ocelot, Lucky Beggar, Rasheeq and Patrick are others who could take home some of that.
