Form is up and down, but both wins have come when making the running, and he impressed when taking a Catterick nursery last time by 2½L from Stronsay under an aggressive ride. Not dismissed despite a 7lb hike in the weights.

Off the mark in a C&D novice last month, and good second on nursery bow at Windsor (1m) before going off too hard in front at Newcastle. Should bounce back, but no easy lead to be had here.

Off the mark at the third attempt at Chepstow last month (7f, good/soft), but proved easy to back before disappointing in a Newcastle nursery recently, albeit ahead of Royal Big Night. Something to prove now.

Ample promise in qualifying, and stayed on strongly when 3¾L fifth of 13 to Stay Classy in 6½f nursery at Doncaster last time when blinkered first time, giving the impression she is need of a stiffer test. Better expected now back at 7f.

Proving consistent since switched to nurseries, and ran her best race when ½L second to One Kiss in an extended 7f event at Ffos Las. That form not really worked out, though, and a 5lb rise looks quite harsh.

Improved on qualifying efforts when 3¼L third of 12 to Headland in a 7f nursery at Salisbury last time, and may do better yet, for all she's unproven on easy ground, and has been raised 2lb for that defeat.

Second at Chelmsford in July, and best turf effort when 5¾L eighth of 12 to Cloak And Dagger in a 6f novice at Ascot last time. Work to do on form, but could improve now stepping up in trip.

Has form which makes him look competitive here, but a little disappointing in three nursery outings, including when third of 4 to Iconic Choice over 7f at Ripon last time. Needs to step up.

Verdict

LADY COSETTE couldn't justify support on her nursery debut, but she did good late work, and the step up in trip can see her make amends now. Two Blondes responded well to an aggressive ride at Catterick, and although his new mark looks tough, such tactics may be the key to him, so he's respected, along with Royal Big Night, whose latest run at Newcastle can easily be forgiven
