Two-time C&D winner who won at Musselburgh last month. Well beaten at Southwell subsequently but has won from a 1lb higher mark than this and a return to turf is a positive. Not discounted.
C&D winner earlier in the campaign. Not the most consistent as seen when failing to back up a win at Ayr when well beaten at Musselburgh last time. Has never won off a mark this high.
Signs that he's ready return to the winners' enclosure on his most recent turf starts. 5lb below his last winning handicap mark and conditions fine. Each-way claims.
Just one win since 2016 and the handicapper has been slow to relent. Out of form in four outings this year and others preferred at present.
Won two of his seven starts in 2017 but not the most consistent sort and probably worth opposing on return from a significant absence here.
Gained a first win since 2016 at Nottingham in June. Has been a little inconsistent since but posted a respectable run at Doncaster last time. Needs a decent pace to aim at.
Got his head back in front from a reduced handicap mark at Thirsk in May but he's struggled from his revised handicap mark since and well beaten at Doncaster last time. May have wanted quicker ground. Wears a first-time eye shield.
Still a maiden after 10 starts. Showed some ability when trained by Kevin Prendergast in Ireland but shown very little in three outings for this yard. May need more relief from the handicapper.
Made a flying start for this yard winning three of his first four starts earlier in the campaign. Has struggled in two starts since a break from his revised handicap mark though and others preferred at present.
All three of her wins this season have come at Catterick and the most recent was a first win at 7f. Disappointed on only subsequent start though and she will need a clear career best to compete in a race this competitive.
Won on her second start in handicaps at Redcar back in May but hasn't managed to replicate that level of form since. Still above her winning handicap mark and needs to bounce back.
Handicap mark on the slide but with good reason and not beaten many home in four starts this year. Needs more.
Forecasts
East Street Revue (9/2), Hawaam (9/2), Excessable (6/1), Tan (13/2), Bashiba (7/1), Acclaim The Nation (9/1), Machree (11/1), Longroom (12/1), Rose Marmara (16/1), Orient Class (25/1), Normal Equilibrium (28/1), Stoneyford Lane (50/1)
EXCESSABLE has some course form to his name and wouldn't have been suited by a spin at Southwell last time. He will appreciate a return to turf and better is expected. East Street Revue gives the trainer a strong hand in the contest and isn't discounted while Bashiba isn't ruled out if he gets a decent pace to aim at.
- Excessable
- East Street Revue
- Bashiba
