Impressive when winning on debut at Windsor but looked a bit green when stepped up in class at Newbury next time. Handled a further step up when making all in the Group Two Gimcrack at York. This demands more again but yard won race twice before.
Coasted to success by 4½L on debut on the July Course and readily followed up under a penalty at Salisbury, winning by 9L at odds of 1/8. Huge step up in class but couldn't have been more impressive and demands respect.
Improved on early form where he won two novice contests when ½L second to Emaraaty Ana in the Gimcrack. Didn't quite have the pace for 5f next in Flying Childers when fourth. More needed to be involved at this level.
Three-time winner from his eight races with the Group Three Anglesey in July at the Curragh his highlight. Good second next in the Group Two Richmond at Goodwood before flopping in the Group One Prix Morny. Exposed and short of required.
Norfolk Stakes fourth at Royal Ascot improved when landing the Group Three Molecomb impressively at Glorious Goodwood but flopped as favourite when last in the Flying Childers next. Better than that but questions to answer in first try over 6f.
Busy early season campaign where he won twice before a close third in the Coventry at Royal Ascot. Disappointed next in the Group One Phoenix when behind two less fancied stablemates but yard had a bug at the time. Very strong stable second string.
Winner of his first two starts in novice races was well behind Emaraaty Ana and Legends Of War when seventh in the Gimcrack before second latest in a French Group Three. Plenty to find here.
Quickly established himself as a colt of exceptional potential, bolting up by 7L in a 25-runner Curragh maiden before coasting to success in a Group Three won by yard's 2017 winner of this contest. Strongly fancied to take this.
Forecasts
Ten Sovereigns (8/13), Jash (4/1), Sergei Prokofiev (7/1), Emaraaty Ana (17/2), Rumble Inthejungle (16/1), Legends Of War (16/1), Marie's Diamond (28/1), Space Traveller (33/1)
Aidan O'Brien has won this contest five times and he has an excellent hand here but preference of his duo is TEN SOVEREIGNS. This son of No Nay Never could hardly have been more impressive in his two races to date and looks a star in the making. Jash fits into the 'could be anything mould' having absolutely bolted up twice in minor events and he represents the most viable alternative to the selection. Sergei Prokofiev, although stable second string has some serious form himself and if he's spot-on after a break he could easily give his stablemate a race.
- Ten Sovereigns
- Jash
- Sergei Prokofiev
