Charm Spirit colt that has shown ability on all three starts and this 5½f trip could be ideal after the way he stayed on over the minimum trip last time. Sets a reasonable standard and should be on the premises.

Improving with each start, tried to make all over 7f at Naas last time but faded late on, so the drop back in trip could eke out a bit more improvement. Wouldn't need much more than that to take a hand here.
70,000gns purchase as a yearling, and this Iffraaj colt is bred to be speedy (half-brother to the useful Krypton Factor). Yard can ready them first time out but are just 1-13 with their 2yos here, which tempers confidence.

Likely to want a bit further and more time judged on his last of 16 debut effort at Naas last week where he was eased right off. Others readily preferred.
Scat Daddy colt that cost €825,000 at Arqana Breeze Ups in May, likely to need quick ground on pedigree but bred to be very useful and powerful yard have a good record with their 2yos here. Of obvious interest on debut.

Born To Sea filly that won't come into her own until tackling middle distances next year, and likely to find this too sharp a test on debut.

No Nay Never filly that was sent off 66-1 for debut at Naas last week and finished well beaten. No realistic chance of success here.

Bred to have a bit of speed about her but well beaten at 33-1 on debut at Naas in June, not seen since and may be one that needs more time.

Forecasts

Erich Bloch (6/4), Archaeology (2/1), Western Frontier (4/1), Good Answer (7/1), Katie O'hara (16/1), Ice Bullet (25/1), Nearly (33/1), Realtin Fantasy (50/1), No Slouch (50/1)

Verdict

WESTERN FRONTIER might be good enough to take this on debut. Conditions look ideal, with no rain forecast, and he can take this at the expense of Archaeology and Erich Bloch, both of whom have experience and should be capable of improvement.
  1. Western Frontier
  2. Archaeology
