Had shown ability in maidens before going into a nursery last time, improved for the step back up to a mile looking the winner at Naas before getting worn down late by Nikenandnemesis. Up 4lb for that effort but every chance of reversing the form.
Appears one of the yard's lesser lights on what he's achieved so far but looks to need this trip already and goes into nurseries on a fair mark. Could improve and can't be discounted for powerful connections.
Looked to have ability on first two starts but last couple of efforts have been lacking and the addition of blinkers only served to make things worse last time. Questions to answer, even at this early stage.
Has run with some consistency all season and still looked like she had something to offer when third over this trip at Naas last time out, staying on well. Ground conditions fine and no reason for her not to run her race again.
Best run of three so far came at Leopardstown in July when finishing midfield under tender handling and has a ready excuse for latest poor effort at Galway as the soft ground may not have suited. No surprise if doing better on handicap debut.
Improved plenty for the step up to a mile last time out, just getting the better of Calorific (4lb worse off for ¾l today, so little between them) and looks to have more in the tank. Every chance of the follow up.
Has faced tough opposition on a couple of his maiden runs and hardly a surprise he's been well beaten, but in truth hasn't really shown enough to be of interest here unless there's some market support.
Showed a modicum of ability on debut behind the useful Fairyland at Naas but hard to find many excuses for her two lesser efforts since then. Looks well treated for nursery debut if she can refind that debut run, but a bit risky.
Sent off big prices all three starts so far and has achieved little. Opening mark looks stiff enough and whilst the step up to a mile should suit, looks to have plenty on his plate.
Did a bit better at Naas last time, the step up to a mile helping, but has ground to make up with a couple of these on that running and likely to be playing a minor role again.
Forecasts
Whitsunday Islands (5/2), Nikeandnemesis (9/2), Calorific (9/2), Gold Jasmine (11/2), The Next Abbey (10/1), Ideal Pal (12/1), Ozone (12/1), Larmour (12/1), Ploughland (14/1), Vociferous Marette (25/1)
The Jim Bolger pair of Vociferous Marette and Ploughland are possible improvers and market support for either would make them look a bit more appealing, but NIKEANDNEMESIS won like a horse with a lot more to offer at Naas and can follow up. Calorific was only just touched off there and may again give the selection most to think about. Gold Jasmine looks sure to run her race and can take a prize home.
