Better performer on the AW than on turf so recent efforts are not too much of a worry. Returns today from a short break and has claims of going well if back to his best.

Listed winner at Lingfield in December 2017. Has won over this C&D and will be dangerous if fully tuned on a return from a four-month break.

Good efforts in Group races in Italy on his final two starts in 2017, and not disgraced on AW at Lingfield on return in February. Ran poorly in handicap at Haydock in April, however, and looks vulnerable again off a break.

Having first start for four months when well held at Doncaster (1m2f, good) last time. Only 2lb above his last winning mark now and riders claim brings him right into the equation if he can build on that now.

Ran a cracker at York two starts back but disappointing when sent off favourite at Doncaster (1m2f, good) last time finishing behind Kyllachy Gala. Needs to bounce back but is a previous C&D winner and this mark is no problem.

Won at Wolverhampton a couple of times at the start of the year. Poor efforts when last seen in the spring and now returns from a five-month break. Could be more progress to come if ready after a break.

Drop in trip didn't seem to suit at Ascot last time and this trip much more suitable. Largely been disappointing off this sort of mark however and others have more pressing claims/ Hood goes on first time.

Comfortable winner here over C&D three starts back off an 8lb lower mark. Struggled off higher marks since but the drop in trip probably didn't help last time and would have claims if returning to that winning form.

Seasoned campaigner who ran well to be second over C&D at this venue on his latest outing. Races off the same mark here but well held there and this mark is a worry.

Consistent sort who has clearly had some issues. Returned from a long absence when finishing last of six runners at Kempton earlier this month. Visor goes on now and capable of getting involved if coming on for that run.

Dual Cambridgeshire winner, but yet to really threaten to make the most of a falling mark and winless in 17 starts. Back up in trip here but maybe vulnerable once more.

Forecasts

Across Dubai (5/2), Banditry (11/4), Secret Art (5/1), Mutarabby (6/1), Star Archer (9/1), Kyllachy Gala (14/1), Mount Tahan (14/1), Singyoursong (20/1), Petite Jack (20/1), Bronze Angel (25/1), Red Label (33/1)

Verdict

Mutarabby should be fitter for her comeback run at Kempton and should be capable of getting involved now in the first-time hood. Mount Tahan has an enviable record on artificial surfaces and is sure to run his race once again so is feared. Preference is for BANDITRY who didn't put his best foot forward at Doncaster last time but will have sound claims here if things drop right.
  1. Banditry
  2. Mutarabby
  3. Mount Tahan
