Impressed at Market Rasen but his mark took him back into the 139-141 range where he has struggled previously.

4-10 over hurdles including two good prizes at Cheltenham and 3-7 (close second twice) under this rider. Has conditions to suit and she goes well when fresh.

Started well over hurdles with two wins in first four starts, and back to form with cheekpieces fitted when scoring by 9L over C&D four weeks ago. The runner-up bolted home by 18L next time so a 15lb rise may be manageable.

Triple winner who has made the frame on his four previous starts in this grade. Showed his more quirky side at Cartmel last time and his current mark has prompted the use of a 7lb claiming amateur.

Won a pair of four-runner novice chases in the summer before a most disappointing effort in a Worcester handicap. Back over hurdles and may want this after three months off.

Winner and placed in lower grades as a novice. Suited to forcing tactics but needs to improve for the fitting of a hood on debut for an in form yard.

Worth a try at this trip having been outpaced by the winner last time. Has won in higher grade and should not be far away as stable jockey's choice of three.

Wide margin winner at Uttoxeter and Sedgefield last term. Has been of 1 1 months and 10lb higher, but worth a market check with Noel Fehily taking the reins.

Forecasts

Boreham Bill (7/2), Novis Adventus (4/1), The Jam Man (4/1), Brillare Momento (9/2), Really Super (11/2), Peggies Venture (15/2), Mister Universum (9/1), Vancouver (12/1), Curious Carlos (14/1), Django Django (16/1), High Secret (20/1), Wynford (20/1)

Verdict

Mister Universum is respected as the stable jockey pick of three, although the stable have been a bit quieter of late. Neil Mullholland saddles two progressive hurdlers, Vancouver and Novis Adventus, who have been raised significantly both in the weights and class following impressive victories. BRILLARE MOMENTO has held her own in better company than this and has gone well off a break in the past. She also has an excellent record under today's rider and makes plenty of appeal as a result.
  1. Brillare Momento
  2. Novis Adventus
  3. The Jam Man
