Gelded son of Helmet who cost £32,000 as a yearling. Well fancied when finishing second after being slowly away in both starts. More required to win but should be involved again.

Equidae13
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: D Allan| T: J Tate| OR:  70
2/1
Plenty of promise on debut and finally showed improvement on his fifth start when dropped to 7f. Has plenty of speed and likely this trip could prove ideal. Looks a leading contender.

Go Roo7
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: D Tudhope| T: D O'Meara| OR:  69
3/1
Showed promise in two early starts for Clive Cox but well beaten in first two starts this year. However was right back to his best on stable debut after being gelded and more to come back up in trip. Should go close.

So Macho

33/1
Already gelded ahead of debut having cost 12,500 gns as a foal and £6,000 as a three-year-old. Will need further in time and best watched.

23-race maiden and yet to place in seven starts on a synthetic surface. Extremely hard to make a case for.

Come On Bear23
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: A Mullen| T: A Watson
10/1
Daughter of Dandy Man who cost £33,000 as a yearling. Weak once headed on debut and although drop of a furlong may help, she needs to find plenty of improvement.

Grand Company130
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: M Stainton| T: K R Burke
25/1
€40,000 Fast Company filly whose dam was a listed winner in Italy. Not fancied when a well beaten last on debut in May and easy to overlook.

Hermana Santa10
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Jason Hart| T: T D Barron| OR:  63
14/1
Well below last season's form when very disappointing on belated seasonal reappearance. Presumably has had problems and others preferred.

Marcella10
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR:  45
25/1
Showed a fair bit of improvement from her previous three runs on just her second start for new stable. Still well held though in a weak contest and plenty more required.

Forecasts

Equidae (2/1), Crash Helmet (9/4), Go Roo (3/1), Come On Bear (10/1), Hermana Santa (14/1), Marcella (25/1), Grand Company (25/1), So Macho (33/1), Henrietta's Dream (100/1)

Verdict

Crash Helmet has run to a similar level in two starts to date and a repeat would see him in the mix again. Equidae looks likely to be better suited by this drop in trip while in contrast GO ROO has more to offer back up in distance and can progress again for his new trainer.
  1. Go Roo
  2. Equidae
  3. Crash Helmet
