Won four times this season from 1m4½f to 1m6f in a very busy campaign. Good seconds over this trip the last twice at Doncaster and Catterick off today's career high mark and again looks a leading player for his incomparable yard.
Turned the tables on Star Of The East latest at Doncaster over 1m4f when winning by 1½L. That rival 3lb better off this time so another tight clash expected but he is probably the slightly more effective over this trip so may just shade round three.
Gained second career success latest when winning over 1m2f at Doncaster which is the furthest he's raced over to date. Worth a go at 1m4f based on recent evidence and if he stays he ought to be a serious contender here.
1m4f Chepstow winner last season has only been seen once this season and that all the way back in April. Withdrawn from a couple of races since so presumably had problems and entitled to need the run here.
Lightly raced dual winner was narrowly touched off latest over 1m4½f when collared in the final strides at Newcastle (AW). Raised 5lb to another career high mark but seems to still be on the up so no surprise if he goes close again.
Eight race maiden although he has four seconds so far. Weakened over 1m6f on penultimate start and couldn't pick up next over 1m3½f, More needed although yard won this last year. 4lb out of the handicap so tall order.

BYRON FLYER and Star Of The East have met the last two times, winning one each. The former gets the nod having won the most recent clash over this trip having come off third best previously over 1m6f although the Johnston horse is 3lb better off now. Another Eclipse hasn't raced beyond 1m2f but he looked well worth a crack at 1m4f when winning last time out so has to be considered here also.
