5/6
Beat a more experienced rival (rated 78) on debut and, although the form should leave him vulnerable under his penalty, this race has a lack of depth. Trainer has a career record of 59-211 with three-year-old AW runners in September.

Made most from a poor draw but was just touched off by a fitter rival (rated 82) on last month's C&D debut. Has had time to recover and is the one to beat.

Fourth in a couple of turf novice events, but bred to want a bit further and others have achieved a higher level of form.

115,000 gns son of Sir Percy out of a dam who won on debut at Southwell. Has undergone wind surgery and clearly has had issues at home. Stable 3-59 with their three-year-olds here since 2014 and he may be one for the future.

Finished down the field when 25/1 on debut and others have shown more promise. Trainer 3-51 with this age group at this venue since 2014.

The form of her debut fourth has not worked out well enough and she has to bounce back from a lacklustre return four months ago.

Bated Breath half-sister to the very useful Ninjago. Last of 11 on debut here and clearly needs to do better.

Related to a couple of dirt and AW winners. Drops in trip having failed to stay on debut. Went off at long odds that day and did not reveal enough to be considered in this company.

Forecasts

Stealth Fighter (5/6), Kings Highway (11/8), Alizeti (14/1), Trade Mission (16/1), Sir Prize (16/1), Pinchpoint (25/1), Smiles A Lot (33/1), Sharp Inntake (50/1), Blackdown Boy (50/1)

Verdict

Stealth Fighter and KINGS HIGHWAY stand head and shoulders above this field. The former landed a minor race at Beverley when knuckling down well to beat a more streetwise rival. However, the selection must take all the beating if repeating the form of his debut here when only just failing to deny an opponent rated far superior to the horse beaten by Stealth Fighter.
  1. Kings Highway
  2. Stealth Fighter
  3. Alizeti
