Form of his latest effort has been working out very nicely and he shaped there as though there would be better to come over this kind of trip. Stable in good form and a bold show is anticipated on nursery debut.
Looks one paced and different trips, surfaces and tactics have been employed to try and overcome this. Looks the sort to appreciate a really strong gallop and others look more likely to score.
Ran away from his rivals in first-time blinkers over C&D last week despite still looking quirky. Makes a quick reappearance under a penalty before he is reassessed and this is a better race.
By Camelot out of an AW winner so some hope she may improve on three modest turf efforts. Stable's horses are running a lot better after a difficult summer and not one to dismiss lightly.
Distant fourth on handicap debut three weeks ago when cheekpieces made no significant difference. May need further than this and yard just 3-75 with juveniles here over past five seasons.
Mixture of sprinters and stayers in her pedigree so worth a go at this trip having been outpaced in the closing stages in her first three races over 5f-6f. Has been off four months but comes from a yard whose juveniles are going well.
Her dam won four races at 1m2f so this longer trip promises to help on nursery debut. Not harshly weighted having finished in midfield for a hot race last time which is working out nicely.
Landed a 7f Newmarket seller six weeks ago having broken on terms for the first time. The third has won three times since and she will be even better suited to this longer trip.
Has improved with each run and competitively weighted on handicap debut. Stable in form and he should give a good account.
Full-sister to the yard's winning miler Employer. Open to improvement on handicap debut, but so too are others in this who have shown a lot more promise.
Best of six starts was her second at Brighton but she didn't back that up here last time after getting squeezed out at the start. Tackles an extra furlong but she is more exposed than most.
Produced a career best here two weeks ago when always handily placed. This looks a stronger race and she needs to improve again.
Has shown little of note in four starts including her recent nursery debut here. Yard 0-22 with juveniles at this venue (past five seasons) and hard to see her breaking that trend.
Tackles a trip more in line with the dam's side of the pedigree on handicap debut. Stable just 2-103 with this age group over the past five seasons.
Forecasts
First Thought (11/10), Korcho (4/1), Calling The Wind (7/1), Swan Street (8/1), Camelot Rakti (12/1), My Maharani (16/1), Toybox (20/1), Kahina (20/1), Um Shama (20/1), Temujin (20/1), Riverwing (33/1), Farump (33/1), Melo Pearl (50/1), Sohni Kudi (100/1)
First Thought will be a warm order to follow up last week's impressive success but he still looked a bit awkward and the opposition here is a lot stronger. My Maharani had the progressive Capla Gilda behind when scoring at Newmarket and she shaped as though there would be more to come over today's mile. Korcho, Temujin and TOYBOX are lightly raced maidens who have shown improved form on their latest runs and now make their handicap debuts. The selection is bred for this sort of trip and finished a long way ahead of Camelot Rakti when occupying a midfield finish in a Goodwood novice that is proving a rich source of winners.
