Fair flat performer who's both wins came on the all-weather. Struggled when a well-backed favourite on return to action at Wolverhampton (1m4f, AW) three weeks ago and now makes hurdling debut.
Son of Stowaway bought for €85,000 at the sales in June last year. Well fancied and ran well on bumper debut at Uttoxeter back in May. Quickly sent over hurdles and should do well in this sphere. Market check essential.

Has looked hard work at times and jumped really slowly on hurdles debut at Bangor last month. Champion jockey keeps the faith but will need to jump much better here to be involved.

Improved with each start over bumpers and won with plenty in hand under a penalty at Stratford last time. Goes hurdling now and every chance he will show further progress over timber for top yard.

Struggled to complete in points and was always in rear when pulled up on hurdling debut at Uttoxeter two weeks ago. Hard to envisage the improvement required to be involved here.

Beaten 20L on his only start in bumpers way back in October 2016. Flat form since then has largely been weak and would need major improvement to be involved on hurdling debut.

Disappointing in a couple of bumpers when with Willie Mullins in Ireland. Weakened when trying to make the running on hurdles debut for this yard back in May. Off for five months and hood/tongue-tie combination goes on for the first time.
Shown promise on both starts in bumpers (sent off favourite on debut) and should be able to translate that form now over hurdles. Will be a player if doing so.

Forecasts

Laughing Luis (1/5), Totterdown (3/1), Fearsome (6/1), He's A Goer (8/1), On Raglan Road (10/1), Global Anchor (12/1), Primal Focus (14/1), Mamnoon (50/1), Call Sign Charlie (50/1), Linemason (66/1)

Verdict

Totterdown sets the standard and is likely to give it a bold showing from the front. LAUGHING LUIS has improved with each start in bumpers though and if taking to hurdling could be pretty hard to beat for his powerful yard. On Raglan Road has the potential to do better in this sphere with another summer on his back and is feared.
  1. Laughing Luis
  2. Totterdown
  3. On Raglan Road
