Out of a US Grade 2 1m1f winning half-sister to Grade 1 winner Salutos Amigos. Badly hampered in closing stages when good third of 10 at York (7f) recently, and likely to improve, for all longer trip is an imponderable.
Gelded son of Hannouma who cost €40,000 as a yearling and whose dam was a Listed winner over 1¼m. Blinkered for debut at Salisbury recently and well held, so looks one for the longer term. Headgear left off now.
Expensive colt with a smart middle-distance pedigree. Better effort to date when third of 8 to Kuwait Currency at Lingfield (7½f) last time, and type to improve a good deal now stepping up to 1¼m.

Has a stamina-packed pedigree, and showed something to work on when fifth of 8 to Two Blondes in 1m maiden at Goodwood last month. Plenty to find on bare form, but will do better as stamina is drawn out.

Son of Leroidesanimaux who is a half-brother to a couple of winners over 2m. Starting off at the right sort of trip, but expected to need debut experience.
By Jukebox Jury out of a maiden half-sister to French Guineas/Derby winner Brametot. Likely type on paper for leading yard, and sure to stay this trip on breeding.

Homebred full-brother to useful 2-y-o 1m winner Magic Dancer and half-brother to 1m winner The King's Steed. Has shown a little ability amidst inexperience in two starts to date, but looks one for handicaps in time.

Has shown plenty of ability in two starts despite looking rough around the edges, and shaped better than distance beaten when 5L second to Cape Islay at Epsom (1m½f) last time. Likely to stay this far.

100/1
Half-sister to Italian listed-placed 6f-1m winner Rabiosa Fiore, out of a winning half-sister to Free Handicap winner Ibn Malik. Well held after a slow start on racecourse bow at Leicester recently, and will need more time.

Forecasts

Alnadir (11/10), War Eagle (9/4), Fearless Warrior (11/4), Mind The Crack (14/1), Just Hubert (25/1), Black Abbey (66/1), Royal Dancer (66/1), Lee Roy (66/1), Image Of The Moon (100/1)

Verdict

Alnadir is respected after a rather unlucky effort on debut at York, but his stamina for this trip is taken on trust, and there might be value in siding with the stoutly-bred FEARLESS WARRIOR, who is open to plenty of improvement despite having a couple of runs under his belt. War Eagle is still very rough around the edges, but is surely capable of better than he's shown, and completes the shortlist.
  1. Fearless Warrior
  2. Alnadir
  3. War Eagle
