Three runs on the Flat (two in France) prior to making pleasing hurdles debut when scoring at 16/1 at Fontwell two weeks ago, knuckling down and staying on strongly to score by half a length. Penalised but sets a decent standard.
Two runs earlier this Flat season for Andrew Balding showing a little promise but has finished last on each of his two starts on the level for current yard over 7f. Stamina on dam's side so may stay but others make mroe appeal.
Won Leicester 1m2f seller for Brian Meehan last month on second start and joined top jumps yard. Ordinary debut fourth over hurdles at Worcester, weakening from 3 out and more needed now to land the spoils.
Rated 75 on Flat but still a maiden. Caught the eye behind Twenty Twenty on hurdles bow, keeping on to be fifth and should know more. 7lb better off with the winner.
Won 6f Goodwood maiden last year and beaten just a short-head in handicap over same trip at Lingfield in April. Joined current yard 4 starts ago running well when four over 1m2f at Newbury. Torrid first start over hurdles but may do better now.
Modest five-race Flat maiden who likely stays well enough but will need to show more over timber if he is to break his duck any time soon. Probably best watched first time out.
Finished last on all 3 UK Flat starts and completely tailed off on hurdles bow at Newton Abbot. Ran fourth on Flat in Channel Islands last time but that form probably doesn't amount to very much.
80/1 third in Wolverhampton novice stakes last November when trained by Richard Hannon. Weakened two out over 1m2f on Flat debut for current yard after eight-month absence and one of the higher rated Flat runners here. Lively outsider.
Raced once in France when fair fifth in conditions hurdle before joining new yard. Has decent jumps pedigree so could be plenty more to come and rates a leading contender if building on that initial effort.
Placed twice at up to 1m for Mick Channon and not beaten far when fair on debut for current yard over 1m4f. Was running good race when close 2nd and fell 2 out at Newton Abbot on jumps bow and has chance if that hasn't left its mark.
Forecasts
Twenty Twenty (11/8), Raffles Surprise (3/1), Royal Household (11/2), Malangen (9/1), Mutanaqel (9/1), Sixties Secret (14/1), Physical Power (33/1), Maytheorsebewithu (40/1), Molliana (66/1), Deliverance (66/1)
An interesting juvenile hurdle with preference for the ex-French contender RAFFLES SURPRISE who represents top connections and showed promise on her only start on the other side of the Channel. Previous winner Twenty Twenty has to give away 7lb all round but sets a fair standard , while Malangen and Mutanaqel both represent yard that does well here. Royal Household, Physical Power and Sixties Secret are outsiders with claims if they can raise their game a little.
