Back to form at Chester last time when staying on well for second (not unbacked at big prices) and that was on soft ground, so conditions here no issue. Can be inconsistent so needs to put it in again, but every chance of going one better if he can.
Looking nicely handicapped on the best of her form now, and the softer the ground the better, (ran well on heavy at Haydock this time last year) but recent efforts are less than enthusing, so needs to refind her best form now. Risky.
First start for new yard (formerly with Robyn Brisland), progressive throughout 2017 and finished off with a good second at York in a better race than this. Has to be respected, coming from this yard, despite almost a year's absence.
Has kept his form really well throughout the summer and despite a busy schedule, threw in his best effort yet at Thirsk last time. Already a winner in this grade this year and trip/ground no issue, so hard to rule out further progress.
Winner on soft ground at Pontefract in the autumn of 2017 (second an easy winner next time), two poor efforts this term but possible excuses for both and could just be he's a soft ground horse. Still unexposed and not to be ruled out.
Has a couple of placed efforts on soft/heavy but seems happier on quicker ground these days, so that's of some concern. Being kept busy and turned out a week after another solid effort at Musselburgh. Others make more appeal.
Stuck to the task well enough in heavy ground at Haydock last week to think these conditions won't pose a problem, and the slight drop back in trip may help. Just possible the handicapper has him now so may need another step forward here.
Handles soft/heavy ground well and remains unexposed on the Flat after just five starts, so has that in her favour. Been hurdling/chasing recently and reverts to the Flat on a fair mark. Chances if getting this trip.
Course winner in heavy ground here last October (when beating Lynwood Gold), turned in two very moderate efforts in the spring but not seen since and may be he's simply an autumn type. No surprises if going better here.
Only second star for this yard, well beaten at Haydock latest (though not totally disgraced) and these conditions could suit. Hard to discount completely although percentage call is to look elsewhere for the winner.
Running consistently, winning once, at a lower level than this for much of the season but looks fully in the grip of the handicapper at present and likely to find this a bit too tough.

Forecasts
Fools And Kings (4/1), Armandihan (4/1), Never Surrender (5/1), Archi's Affaire (5/1), Lynwood Gold (17/2), County Fair (17/2), Wax And Wane (9/1), Darksideoftarnside (10/1), Ocean Voyage (10/1), Sepal (11/1), Amazing Michele (12/1), Super Kid (20/1), River Icon (25/1), Tatting (25/1)
This trip is really going to find out who stays and who doesn't, and although RIVER ICON is one that does have to prove she wants this far, she shapes as though she will stay and gets the vote in a tricky finale. Ocean Voyage will strip a lot fitter for a recent outing at Listowel and can prove the main danger, and the other Gordon Elliott runner Fools And Kings has to be respected too. Wax and Wane may be the type to do well this autumn and a market move today would make him interesting.
