Some good form in the spring to her name (G3 winner at Deauville in July) but although she has kept her form since, she may have plateuaed out already. Penalty to give away makes life harder too, so others are preferred.

Game winner on soft ground at Newmarket in August before a close fourth in the Lowther. Not so good last time but quick ground a possible excuse and could very easily refind her form on this slower ground. One to consider.

Has taken a step forward with each of her four runs and was quietly impressive at Chester last time, despite only winning a head. Slower ground to cope with here but always dangerous to rule a progressive filly out on that alone.

Keeps going off huge prices but it's not stopping her from progressing quite well, and her latest head defeat in a Listed contest at Ripon reads well. Market may well ignore her again but folly to write her off, and she could go close.

Best run so far came at Deauville in a G3 in July where she showed she acts well with some cut in the ground, but didn't seem to progress for cheekpieces in a sales race at York last time and now needs to bounce back.

Winner on soft ground at Ripon on debut, so conditions here won't be a problem, and on the face of it a little unlucky not to maintain her unbeaten record after finding traffic problems at Chester last time. Plenty to find on the figures though.

Was found an easy race to get off the mark in at Beverley two starts ago but ran a cracker to finish a close third in the Lowther last time, sticking on well. This ground asks a new question but more than likely to progress at some point.

Sent off favourite for the Windsor Castle but disappointed, however has shown that form all wrong since and her close second in a G3 at Chantilly last time was her best run to date. Upped in trip here but may have more to come.

Encouragingly her best run to date came with plenty of give underfoot in a Listed contest at Vichy in July, which she won. Has ground to make up with Queen Of Bermuda on latest run and now needs to refind best form.

Impressive winner at Newbury two starts ago, making all and powering away for an easy win, but a bit below par at Doncaster last week when behind stablemate Soldier's Call. Step up to 6f may suit though, so could progress.

So impressive when winning at Carlisle last week (heavy ground), travelling best and winning with loads in hand. That was only a modest contest but interesting that connections are willing to chance their hand here, and she's of some interest.

Forecasts

Queen Of Bermuda (9/2), Light My Fire (5/1), Shumookhi (11/2), Queen Jo Jo (6/1), Firelight (7/1), Glass Slippers (9/1), Gypsy Spirit (9/1), Kodyanna (12/1), Summer Daydream (14/1), Come On Leicester (14/1), Little Kim (16/1), Second Generation (16/1)

Verdict

This race is a graveyard for favourites and it often pays to think outside the box a bit. With that, a chance is taken on SUMMER DAYDREAM, who has a bundle to find on form but couldn't have been more impressive on her Carlisle debut, and with no qualms about the likely testing ground, may be able to make the step up. Similarly Gypsy Clover keeps thumbing her nose up at the market, running really well in the face of supposed stiff tasks, and can outrun her odds once more. Shumooki could bounce back after a lesser effort at Doncaster last time and Firelight could appreciate the return to slower ground.
  1. Summer Daydream
  2. Gypsy Spirit
  3. Firelight
