Over a year since his lone start over this trip when he seemed not to stay at Newmarket. Worth another go especially given he hasn't been able to get his head in-front this season but enough doubts to look elsewhere.
Made a promising start to the campaign for Ralph Beckett but form deteriorated and now starts out for a new yard. 1lb lower than last winning mark from 12 months ago at Kempton (AW) so well treated if first-time hood lights him up.
Useful in his pomp a few seasons back but form in last 12 months seems to be declining with last two efforts particularly disappointing. Always appreciated cut in the ground too which he is unlikely to get here.
Former Michael Bell inmate won first time for this yard over this trip at Windsor but couldn't really back that effort up in two subsequent starts once raised 4lb. Gets 1lb back now and may have more to give second back from a break.
Only 1lb higher than second of two AW wins in Spring but will need to step up on three starts since if he is to get involved. Stepping back in trip from 1m4f plus.
Won first two starts for this yard following up a Lingfield maiden with a 1m handicap here. Upped 6lb for that but now goes up in trip which appears likely to suit so has to be considered a likely sort as he seeks the hat-trick.
Not for the first time he showed his liking for soft ground latest when winning over 1m2f at Epsom last time out. 4lb rise not unfair so still appeals especially with top jockey booked although ground likely to be much quicker here.
Raised 6lb for comfortable win at Leicester back in May but not seen since and had a wind-op in the meantime. Fitness now must be taken on trust but jockey booking a positive sign of expectations.
Dual hurdles winner has put in improved efforts the last twice on the level with third at Leicester and close fourth at Kempton most recently. Each-way possibilities off the same mark.
Remains a maiden but made the frame in all four races and latest handicap debut at York a very positive effort when second of 19 to an unexposed type upped to 1m2f for first time. Plenty of potential over this sort of trip and very strong claims.
1m Haydock winner goes beyond 1m for first time but generally proves weak in the finish so has to be stamina doubts although on pedigree he ought to have a fighting chance. Often front-runs and can be keen.
Shade disappointing in first handicap latest over 1m at Ffos Las but that was the first time he has encountered cut in the ground. Quicker surface likely here and ran well over C&D the time before so expectant of a much better effort today.
Seems to appreciate cut in the ground as his dam did and further evidence of that when off the mark penultimately at Chepstow before lesser effort at Kempton (AW) withdrawn due to fast ground before so needs rain here.
Bits of encouragement from this maiden earlier in the campaign but overall profile appears short of the required and cheekpieces will need to have a quite dramatic effect.

ROCK FORCE chased home a seemingly well-treated horse when second of 19 on handicap debut at York and that effort suggests he too could be capable of better at this early stage of his handicapping career and he can reward his Northern trainer who only sends one down from Cheshire. Exec Chef is clearly on the up seeking the hat-trick and this longer trip should be within his compass so he also looks a likely sort. Armed was disappointing latest but there were excuses and he is almost certainly better than that so rates an interesting dark horse.
