Four-time AW winner yet to win in 12 turf starts. 11lb lower rating on the turf but not been able to capitalise in five other starts on the surface this season albeit has run well on occasions. Not ruled out completely but others preferred.
Over three years since this hold up performer's last win but placed in several valuable contests in between. Noted as a very unlucky fourth at Ascot latest only beaten 1¼L and off the same mark it's hard to envisage anything other than a bold bid.
Won back to back races over 5½f at Bath in the summer, both on firm ground. Handicap fallen to 4lb higher than last win now after three lesser efforts so should soon be competitive again.
Returned from 107 day absence when winning at 20/1 at Newmarket latest over 5f. Just as good over 6f so should be capable of another positive showing here with handicapper treating him kindly for Newmarket success.
Bounced back from two moderate runs when winning a four runner contest at Brighton (6f) before going well next at the same venue to finish second off 4lb higher. Handicapper keeps up the pressure but merits consideration.
Successful in her first ever race over this distance latest when a cosy winner at Newmarket last month. 6lb rise makes life tougher but seriously unexposed for this sort of distance and has to be considered a leading contender.
Won three of his first four starts for this yard earlier in the season before having a break. Made good progress before tiring on recent return over 5f at Sandown but with fitness now boosted he should be capable of making his presence felt.

It is a long time since POLYBIUS tasted success but with a clear run at Ascot latest he would have gone seriously close to ending the barren run so off the same mark here he gets the nod with the likelihood of a clearer passage in this smaller field with the master of hold-up tactics Jamie Spencer onboard. Lady Freyja is the most feared rival and this filly who has done most of her racing over 7f and 1m relished the test of speed latest when dropped to 6f. Tan proved a revelation when switched to this yard earlier in the year and based on the evidence of his encouraging Sandown reappearance he might not be finished improving yet.
