Generally a consistent performer who got his nose in front again last time at Ripon, where he goes particularly well. 5lb rise for that if far from frightening, given his record, and he won't mind any rain. Claims.
Acts on good ground or slower. Still early days and has run well in two of his three starts for this trainer. Same mark today as last time at Thirsk and should again be competitive.
Has won four times on fast ground this year, all over this trip. 2lb higher than the last of those, but form has tailed off lately.
Has proved difficult to win with since scoring on his second start for David O'Meara at Ripon last year (1m2f, good). No immediate upturn in fortunes for this trainer last time. Jury still out.
Loves it here, with three of his five wins coming at the venue, two of them over C&D. However, all his best form has been on good to firm, so he wants it to liven up a bit. Good draw and in the mix if it stays dry.
Reduced to just two runs so far this season, since being gelded. Better effort last time at Kempton (first-time visor). 1lb drop will help. Headgear now swapped. Unexposed and looks a player here, particularly if the rains hold off.
Has won on good to firm/soft/heavy ground. 3lb higher than his last success at Doncaster (1m2f) in March. Held against older horses in both runs since, including behind Mulligatawny last time. More needed.
C&D winner two starts ago (good to firm), when 5lb lower. Well held from this mark at Redcar last time. However, the return to this track may play to her strengths and she could do better.
Has looked unable to cope with the handicapper's initial assessment of his abilities. Is dropping to a more feasible mark now, and may be capable of a better showing.
Multiple winner in Greece since scoring twice in Britain on AW in 2015. Drops 4lb here and 5lb also claimed. Not written off, but draw not ideal.
Latest win came in a 2m hurdle at Hexham in June, but had preceded that with three wins from four starts at Newcastle (7f/1m). Held from this mark on last turf Flat outing, Acts on good over jumps. Not ruled out from good draw.

Najashee (9/2), Daawy (5/1), Juneau (5/1), Mulligatawny (11/2), Victory Chime (6/1), Quoteline Direct (13/2), Autretot (7/1), First Dance (12/1), Ventura Dragon (16/1), Lord Caprio (20/1), Magillen (20/1), Sheila's Treat (50/1)
A competitive contest in prospect and the unexposed NAJASHEE may be capable of taking it, though he will admittedly have a bit to prove if the ground softens. Quoteline Direct is more exposed but should be a player, again particularly if it stays dry. Victory Chime could be a big threat, while Mulligatawny won't mind what the conditions are like and so looks a solid option. Autretot is not written off, along with Lord Caprio.
- Najashee
- Victory Chime
- Mulligatawny
