Well-related Epaulette colt who looked to need the run, but shaped with promise when fifth of 7 on last month's debut at Wolverhampton. Will improve, although has no easy task here.
Half-brother to talented 5f-5½f winner Soie De L'Eau, and showed some ability when fifth of 9 to Ventura Ocean at Pontefract on debut. Failed to build on that next time, and handicaps beckon after this outing.

Half-brother to French Group 2 1½m winner Ming Dynasty among others. Better effort to date when 6L sixth of 10 to Woven in a 7f novice at York last time. Will come into his own when tackling 1m+ in time.
Ruler of The World half-brother to 1¼m winner Reinstorm. Badly in need of experience when 26L fifth of 9 on Thirsk debut last month. Another who will need time and distance to flourish.

9/4
Lope de Vega half-brother to smart 6f7f winner Naadirr among others. Shaped well after a slow start when third to Indian Viceroy at Epsom on debut, and should benefit from that experience. Tongue-tie retained.
Showcasing colt who cost 16,000 gns as a yearling. Stayed on late when a promising fourth of 8 to Lively Lydia in 7f novice at Kempton on debut, but couldn't match that form at Chelmsford despite being more clued up. Turf debut.
Didn't shape too badly when fourth of 15 to Fognini in a 6f event at Redcar first time, but took a backward step at Musselburgh next time, and others more convincing now.

Well held at a big price on debut, showing little in the process, and didn't do a great deal better despite that experience at Carlisle last time. Looks one for the longer term if anything.
Half-brother Tommy Docc was runner-up in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot, but this filly cost just £2,000 as a yearling, and is passed over unless the subject of market support on first outing.

5/1
Sir Percy filly who was sent off 50-1 for her Redcar (7f) debut, but made a mockery of that, rattling home late for second. Unsuited by drop in trip last time, and not ruled out granted this stiffer test.

Forecasts

Marronnier (9/4), Cavalry Park (7/2), Hurricane Hero (9/2), Northern Lyte (5/1), Rock Up In Style (6/1), Ey Up Its Mick (18/1), Little Bustard (28/1), Sdh Dream Team (33/1), Ugo Gregory (33/1), Major Snugfit (50/1)

Verdict

MARRONNIER shaped well in the end when third of four on debut at Epsom, and he can put that experience to good use here. He's preferred to Northern Lyte, who was unsuited to the drop to sprinting last time after a promising debut. Hurricane Hero will probably only flourish over longer trips, but has done enough to be of interest here.
  1. Marronnier
  2. Northern Lyte
  3. Hurricane Hero
