Formerly very useful, but continues to tumble down the handicap after a series of moderate efforts and there's still pretty thin evidence that this 7f trip is what he wants.
Comes here after two good efforts at Chepstow, one win and then a staying-on third last time out, both over 6f. Worth a try over 7f and seems to handle the surface, so chances if stamina lasts out.
Trip no issue and despite beating only one home here last time out, wasn't beaten far. Possible that handicapper just about has him where he wants him, and yard struggling for some form, so others preferred.
Left Willie Haggas after a handful of starts and two runs for current yard have seen him finish well beaten off. Hard to make much of a case for in current form.
Only had the four starts and was most impressive over C&D on the third of them, making all and staying on strongly to pull away in the closing stages. Needs to cheat a mediocre draw but clearly a contender with a repeat of that.
C&D winner here off the back of a break in April, form since then not so good but gave notice he might be on the way back with an eyecatching effort over 6f here last time. Step back up to 7f can only help and he looks a player.
Comes here on the top of his game after two wins at Epsom, and showed some battling qualities to get back on top late last time. Only 1lb higher here and has experience of the track, so no reason not to go well again.
Has been going well since joining this yard and is knocking on the door of his first win, you feel. Trip and surface both fine and a change of headgear might just work the oracle for him. Excellent jockey booking and one to consider.
Winner at Salisbury over 6f (good to soft) three starts ago but two much lesser efforts since then. Step up to 7f far from certain to suit and in current form, is passed over.
Was well placed to find a couple of races in the spring but two efforts after that rather suggested she went off the boil a bit quickly. Absence since then may help her return fresh (has won after a break) so can't be discounted.
Yet to win after 8 starts but has hot the frame a few times and interesting that new yard go straight for the tongue-tie and a hood for her. Still a question mark over this trip but still more interesting than a few.
Has looked to need a bit of time to get the hang of things but noting much wrong with her second over C&D last time out and she might now be on a winning mark. Needs another step forward but that's not impossible.
Forecasts
Kendergarten Kop (7/2), Port Of Call (9/2), Harbour Approach (11/2), Jumeirah Street (13/2), Dashing Poet (7/1), Fink Hill (9/1), Diva Star (10/1), Air Of York (14/1), Toofi (20/1), Just An Idea (25/1), Picket Line (66/1), Brigand (100/1)
Plenty that hold some sort of a chance here but the step back up to 7f will help KENDERGARTEN KOP plenty and from a decent draw, he can pick them up late. Diva Star is slowly improving and it would be no surprise if she took another step forward here. She can prove the danger, with Jumeirah Street, Port Of Call and yard debutante Fink Hill all worth a second look.
- Kendergarten Kop
- Diva Star
- Port Of Call
