Promise when fourth on debut at Lingfield in January but has finished last on each of his subsequent three starts. Cheekpieces applied and steps up half a mile but has plenty to prove.
Has started long odds for all four starts but raced up with the lead for some way over 1m6f last time on handicap bow. Probably didn't stay so drop back in trip makes sense and has been eased 5lb.
Stayed on over 1m2f last time into sixth but has still to reach a place after six starts. Extra two furlongs may bring about improvement though and a better show would not surprise.
Half-sister to Group 3 winner Folkswood, she hasn't shown much in three novice events at up to 1m2f but makes handicap debut off lowly 58 mark and could do much better now going two furlongs further. Check for market support.
Won over this trip at Lingfield in June before two month break. Returned with a modest run at HQ last time and may simply be better on AW. Still feasibly weighted if in the mood.
Nine-race maiden who but up best effort yet when tackling 1m2f at Lingfield last time, staying on well at the death. Steps up again and could imporve further so has claims.
13 races without success and form has deteriorated since some fair placed efforts this winter. Stayed on over 7f last time and connections seem to be struggling to find his optimum trip.
Has appeared a non-stayer over 1m2f on two of his last three starts so curious that he is now asked to race over an extra quarter mile. Hard to fancy on evidence to date.
First time tongue-tie appeared to help this long-standing maiden when she stayed on to be a fair third over 1m2f at Lingfield recently. Needs more but not a complete no-hoper.
Ran some fair races this winter on AW including neck second in Chelmsford 1m2f handicap. Never placed to challenge in two runs over C&D of late but eased 1lb and is one of the likelier longshots.
Nine-race maiden who appeared not to stay on only previous attempt at this trip. Plodded on over 1m2f last time but has to improve to figure here.
Rip Van Winkle filly who hasn't shown much in three runs over 7f. Has her handicap mark now and steps up five furlongs so worth monitoring for any market moves.
12 races without success and never before run beyond extended mile so staimna for this 1m4f trip has to be taken very much on trust. On balance others are much preferred.
Nothing to report form first three runs but did much better on handicap debut on penultimate start when staying-on fourth over 1m2f at Lingfield. Slow away last time so has excuse and is not without hope in a modest event.
Forecasts
Dame Nellie (5/1), Downtown Mombasa (6/1), Passionate Love (6/1), Arlecchino's Arc (7/1), Kingfast (8/1), Stay In The Light (11/1), Approaching Menace (12/1), Good Impression (14/1), Greaves (14/1), Tin Fandango (16/1), Vlannon (16/1), Sheila Rose (20/1), Looking For Carl (33/1), Silvington (33/1)
A host of relatively unexposed horses over this trip so there could be a suprise. A tentative choice is Charlie Fellowes' PASSIONATE LOVE who is well bred and has been handed a very modest mark for handicap debut. At the foot of the weights Approaching Menace may run well steppting up in distance, while others such as Tin Fandango, Greaves, Downtown Mombasa and Arlecchino's Arc are not without hope either.
- Passionate Love
- Downtown Mombasa
- Approaching Menace
