Very fast sprinter who can be hard to live with when he gets his conditions. Put up a respectable effort on similar ground to what he will get here at Tipperary last time but there's a suspicion he would prefer a faster surface.
C&D winner but hasn't won since that success last year and struggling in lesser races than this in recent times.
Produced a fine effort to win the Beverley Bullet last time and while he's not getting any younger, he's versatile from a conditions perspective and more consistent than some. Solid each-way claims up in class here.
Impressive when getting the better of Gordon Lord Byron in a three runner contest at Navan last time. Has failed to shine on the big stage in the past but there could still be more to come from him. Could do with the ground drying out.
Got right back to form with a C&D Group 2 win earlier in the campaign but hasn't quite been at that level in two starts since. Yard in better form now and should be right there if he can bounce back.
Won a Group 1 here over 6f as a juvenile and got his head back in front in a Group 3 earlier in the campaign at Naas. Below form since but yard are in much better form now and quite possibly worth giving another chance to.
Has won just once since her maiden when winning a soft ground Listed event at Tipperary on final start of 2017. Running okay in defeat at a lesser level earlier in the campaign but this step up in class is surely beyond her.
Group 3 winner at Ascot last year and posted a respectable effort in Listed class at Tipperary last time. May want a return to fast ground to be seen at her best and others make more appeal.
Just a Dundalk maiden win to her name. Has been struggling in lesser events than this in recent times and can often miss the break. Likely outsider.
Forecasts
Havana Grey (15/8), Sioux Nation (5/1), Different League (5/1), Take Cover (11/2), Hit The Bid (7/1), Battle Of Jericho (12/1), Gorane (20/1), Son Of Rest (22/1), Now You're Talking (40/1)
HAVANA GREY was an impressive course and distance winner earlier in the campaign and while he's been a little below par in recent starts, a return to softer conditions could see him in a much better light. Take Cover is a consistent sort and proven at this level while Battle Of Jericho gives the impression we haven't seen the best of him yet and may be capable of a big run despite being down the order on jockey bookings.
- Havana Grey
- Take Cover
- Battle Of Jericho
