Inconsistent performer as seen last time when well beaten at Haydock, failing to follow up an impressive win at Newmarket. Capable of winning on any ground and the booking of De Sousa is a positive; hard to rule out.
Losing run is starting to mount up now and while he ran well when third behind Star Of The East last time, his optimum trip is probably over further than this.
Won a novice event at Kempton in December and ran okay in a couple of Listed races in May before finishing well beaten in a Royal Ascot Group 2 last time. Interesting runner from a workable mark on handicap debut here.
Gained a first win for this yard at Leicester earlier in the season and bounced back from a disappointing run at Newmarket with a respectable run at York last time. Seems a better horse on AW though and needs improvement to defy this mark on turf.
Won his maiden here last year and returned from a significant absence to win at Newmarket last month. Somewhat surprising the handicapper has only put him up 7lb for that comfortable success and more progress on the cards here.
Forecasts
Dubawi Prince (10/11), Highbrow (3/1), Byron Flyer (9/2), Star Of The East (8/1), Royal Reserve (14/1)
The handicapper would appear to have let DUBAWI PRINCE in lightly after his impressive win at Newmarket last time and he's going to be hard to beat with a reproduction of that effort. Star Of The East has become tough to predict but there's a possibility we still haven't seen the best of him yet. Highbrow may be able to take advantage of this drop in class.
