Gained back to back wins this season, including a Group 3 at Newcaslte two starts back but well beaten at York subsequently. Hard to rule out with De Sousa back on board and has some form with cut in the ground.
Very useful performer when he gets his conditions and has been running well in defeat this year. There probably hasn't been quite enough rain to make him of interest here though.
Hasn't been seen to best effect on his last two runs, left poorly positioned in a Group 1 before given too much to do last time at Deauville in a Group 3. More than capable at this level and remains in good form despite his recent form figures.
Has four Group wins to his name including one Group 2 success. Looked like the winner when travelling well in the Lockinge earlier in the campaign (fourth of 14) but hasn't built on that in three starts since and opposable at present.
Group 3 winner at York last year and returned with a Listed win at Sandown in July. Respectable effort at York subsequently in Group 3 company but this is tougher and he may have preferred quicker ground.
C&D winner. Got his head back in front in handicap company at Chester last time out and while he has won on straight courses, he's seemingly at his best running around a bend. Needs a career best to land this.
Listed winner at York last year and got her head back in front on return in a Lingfield Group 3 in May. Not at her best in three runs since and this is even tougher.
Lightly raced sort who won a Listed race at Ascot on final start of 2017. Hasn't been at that level in a lesser grade on two starts this year and has a bit to prove at present.
Highly progressive juvenile who won a Group 1 in France but he's been a long way below that form this time around. Interesting to see if the step up in trip can see him improve but that's not guaranteed.
Forecasts
Mustashry (5/2), D'bai (7/2), Oh This Is Us (6/1), Dutch Connection (8/1), Tomyris (8/1), Breton Rock (9/1), Unfortunately (11/1), Above The Rest (12/1), Raydiance (22/1)
D'BAI deserves to get his head back in front having had excuses on his last couple of runs in France and he will be hard to keep out of the first three in a tight race. Above The Rest is a consistent sort who won't mind any juice in the ground while it's worth giving Mustashry a crack at this level.
- D'bai
- Above The Rest
- Mustashry
